We were in Embu on a work assignment and were booked at this hotel. The check in and check out process was quite slow for my liking (about 10mins each) considering that we had been booked in advance and they were expecting us. The welcome drink of watermelon juice at the reception didn’t smell fresh so I opted not to drink it. The rooms are very spacious, but with very tiny cheap-lookingTVs that hardly have any channels. The bathrooms are clean though the water in the toilet was dark brown and I had to flush it away wondering whether it had been used and left like that. The pillows are hard and too thick and the mattress was a bit stiff. The highlight was the breakfast which was pretty decent. It had a good selection of cereal, fruits, juices, tea/coffee, potatoes, sausages, baked beans, sweet potatoes, arrow roots, mixed veggies and french toast. It’s an average place if you’re used to fancy hotels. And there’s no elevator or ramp for guests who may happen to be in wheelchairs. …
A good hotel with great potential. Just needs a little good competition and they will realise it. Spacious rooms, not much amenities, quite average. The TV is very tiny. Wi-Fi quite sporadic but when it's working, it works well. Food isn't too bad, but is quite average.
This is had to accept but believe it or not, the breakfast they serve here is competes what is served in a 5 star hotel. If you are particular with your sleep like I do then whenever you are in Embu town just trace your way to Panesic Hotel. Try it and I bet you will be writing a better review than this my friend.
The ambience and location is relatively ok but the food is not quite close. The fish i took was blunt, the "chapatis" were thick and yellow and not close to usual "chapati" taste, the samosas were not tasting well. The service was good though. My brother could also not get very cold drinks (it was just barely chilled).
The Panesic is great. Very large and comfortable rooms. Good wifi. Friendly staff. Good food. Wonderful swimming pool. The Panesic is right in the middle of town. It is set back enough from the highway that there is no street noise. A single is Kes3000. They have a connected sister hotel with rooms for Kes1500, but I didn't see them.
