A series of individual game lodges within a small resort. The stars are Neil and Jessica who run the resort, whose enthusiasm is infectious. Neil is really fascinated by the animals and the signals they give, also an authority on the local flora and his fascination rubs off on you. We had a really marvelous time. The food is special...

We had the best time of our honeymoon in Makweti. Everything was incredible, the safari, the food and the people. It is a very recommendable place. The landscape is incredible and the rangers are the best of the area. Best of the best!

I agree with all other reviews. This is a special place. Hampered by rain on our 4 day visit. Firstly , the lions are back. Seeing a male lion kill an ostrich 5 metres from our truck at night can't be topped. Saw female lion too. Cheetahs lots and buffalo. Sadly not a leopard but can't have it all. I...

Having come from a visit to Victoria Falls we thought we had had the "once in a lifetime" experience of the holiday, but then there was Makweti, how lucky were we? The lodge itself is beautiful ,with five suites set in the grounds of the main lodge, where meals are served, seemingly endlessly throughout the day. There were two game...

I have had the pleasure of visiting many game lodges over many years. Makweti is by far the most artistic lodge I have ever experienced. Because I am also a collector of African Art and textiles, I especially appreciated the beautiful objects and the way in which they were incorporated into the decor. Stunning taste! In addition, the rooms are...

Amazing safari experience. Excellent hospitality by hosts Test and Feli and their great staff. Game drives in small groups is a big advantage. Test was also a great guide with extreme knowledge about the animals. If there is something more to see when time is up Test would not hesitate to make the drive longer. Food was super as well....
