First let me start off by saying that the owner is super nice and this campground was open when most others were not yet for the season. But the campground itself is nothing more than an area off the road to sleep. Period. There were no woods or anything that made you feel like you were "camping" other than a fire ring available at your site. This is not our idea of camping. If you need a place to crash for the night on your way to your next destination, then no problem. If you are looking for a "campground" where you feel like you are one with nature, this isn't it.

First impressions off putting. Lots of “stuff” laying around and old been-around-the block RVs greet you. This mostly a long term park. The owners were very responsive when making the reservation. They were also friendly and check-in was a breeze. WII FI wasn’t mentioned, and it wasn’t on the information sheet but it was available and worked sporadically. It had been heavily raining so there was lots of standing water in the interior dirt and gravel roads. Our pull thru 50 amp FHU site had drained fairly well. The site is grass so we were concerned but it wasn’t a problem. The site was fairly level with a tilt on the passenger side. There only appears to be 2 50 amp sites. Most of the sites are heavily treed although ours just had one big tree on the passenger side. The park is located on Otego Creek which had tons of water from the rain. They are also directly across Rte 7 from a railroad track. We heard several trains but thankfully no whistles! There is road noise from somewhere although it was pretty quiet at night. There are no over the air channels, and they don’t have cable. We didn’t try Directv. Verizon was 4g 2 bars.

We had planned for a week, but packed it up after only 6 hours. Extremely unorganized checkin. We arrived at 11pm, and no one was around to check us in and they left zero direction. In the morning, got chewed out by the manager (Wendy) for setting up on our own. Wendy is very argumentative, unpleasant, uneducated, and loves the drama she creates by escalating everything. Never met anyone like her: she either has serious mental issues or was high on drugs. What a savage! The campground itself was extremely unkempt with trash and old equipment piled up everywhere, tall grass and weeds. The shower house and bathroom were disgustingly dirty and broken. The pool is a gross mess, unhealthy, and closed. For a busy Cooperstown baseball week, there was only ONE other camper in the entire place! Now you know why!

Check in was very fast and easy. Owners were very friendly and super helpful. Rates were the best we found for tent sites. Bathroom was kept clean at all times. Pool was fun and clean, but if you'd rather play around in the water or fish, there's a path down to the river that was fun. Fireworks on July 4th was a wonderful show and a great surprise for a campground. Our friends and family were invited to come and spend the day with our group. We had a great time, felt very welcome and will definitely camp here in the near future

Lots of room at this campground. Our dog loved it, we were able to walk all over the heady areas. Close to so many things in and around Oneonta. Here to visit family. We sat out for campfires and enjoyed the peace and quiet! A hidden gem of a campground.

What a great little Gem. Stayed there on this Memorial Day Weekend, and hated to leave. Great quaint little campground. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility that the place provides. The staff there were exceptionally accommodating and friendly. There was even a "pot luck" supper fo all the campers and everyone there made us feel welcome. Clean facilities, attentive friendly staff, and peace and quiet. Will DEFINITELY be back again when we are in the area.

Stayed for one night. Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Site was right next to the river, with fire-pit and water spigot. Bathrooms were rustic but clean enough, with hot showers. Location is very convenient.

I will be staying at this campground in July 2017. When making our reservations for eights nights, there was a discrepancy on what I consider to be a weekly rate and what the owners do. The website lists the cost as $50 per night, or the "weekly" rate as $300. My confirmation email stated the total cost would be $400. I figured $300 for the week, plus one extra night for a total of $350. However, and I quote, "In a week there is 6 nights and 7 days"? Am I wrong to consider a week as seven nights and seven days. We still plan on staying here, due to the location to Cooperstown, and I will follow up on the campground itself after our stay. I am just flabbergasted.
