Normally don't write reviews, but my wife and I just stayed here in the midweek and had an absolutely wonderful time. The staff are, no joke, the friendliest I've ever encountered in a hotel. They went way out of their way to help us out and make this an easy, comfortable stay. The included breakfast is nice, the rooms are... More

I ordered a jagerschnitzel and some baked brie, all of which was amazing, the service was excellent, and even the bar was nice, busy too! There were some interesting decorations, make for great conversation starters. Must put this place on your to-do list.

We planned a last minute birthday overnight in December. We chose it based on two things, avability during a busy holiday season and trip advisior reviews...we were not disappointed! I love quaint old fashioned inns, and this was one of the most well preserved and beautiful ones we have ever been to. It was like a living Currier and Ives... More

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend at Bavarian Manor. Proprietors Stan and Suzanne always welcome us with open arms, literally. The manor was decked out for Christmas inside and out. The restaurant has the best German food I have ever had. This not a plush resort. It is a homey, welcoming inn. Give it a try. You won't... More

By American standards this place comes from the stone age (aka as the 19th century) and in part it shows. But for many this probably makes it attractive. It certainly has more charm and character compared to the many bland chains of hotels and motels that clutter the countryside. It's just our personal preference that we would not want to... More

I grew up in the Hudson Valley, but having been away, I'd forgotten the amazing charm, and almost days past character that this area has. Everywhere else I've lived or visited in the past few years have always had hotels that were the well know chains. There are always B&Bs, but while they are charming, I sometimes find them awkward.... More

I have wonderful memories of summers spent in the Catskill Mountains and some of those memories include this wonderful place. Often times when we try to re-visit places from our childhood we are disappointed. I was not disappointed at all. A lot has changed in the Catskills since the 1970's but The Bavarian Manor is very much like I remember... More

Went here with a party of 10. We had a delicious dinner. Waitresses were very friendly, checked on us several times to see if we needed more drinks, bread, etc. I would go back here again. I would love to spend the night at the inn part. Looks very inviting.

A neat old inn with lots of charm and really good service. Friendly place to get away from it all. The food is really good German home style cooking. We enjoyed our weekend stay. If you are in the mood for wiener snitzel or saur bratten among other neat dishes this is the place to stay.

“We appreciated having a fireplace in the room, but the wind blew ours out frequently. The rooms on the other side of the hall didn't have that problem. If you're not familiar with the area and these roads, it's hard driving after dark, which comes early in the winter. And then the restaurant is closed :(”
