We came to the ares to photograph the fall color, and stopped for breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon - it was all excellent and inexpensive. The waitress was friendly and we felt very welcome.
The Tap room is a great place to get good food at good prices. The escargot on Friday evening is the best ever. The beer cooler is kept frosty with a cooling system that uses ice harvested from Raquette Lake in the winter.
We love this cozy lunch stop and cone here every time we are in the area. The burgers are great, the beer is cold, and the iced tea is brewed. We sat outside under the shade of the picnic tables. The service was friendly and excellent and the prices are reasonable.
