Very comfortable room, good views, great food, cozy fun bar - would definitely go back - great jumping off location to explore the area. Service was excellent and we enjoyed trying out local restaurants in Rhinebeck, as well as eating at the Rhinecliff.

We stayed at the Rhinecliff in mid May while visiting Dutchess County. The location was only a 5 minute drive into town. The room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the river. However, as stated on the website there is an Amtrak station across the street. This DID NOT bother us, we slept like babies, the beds were...

Good Morning CJ, I'm so happy you enjoyed our little hotel, I remember you well! Sorry again for the heating, at this time of year as the temperature heats up outside we deliberately turn off the hot water boilers as the hot water in the pipes actually causes the hotel to become like a sauna! The little cold snap last...

My husband and I just came back from two nights at The Rhinebeck, where we went to celebrate his birthday. We loved everything about it! The people were so nice, the room. (204) was so spacious -- including the bathroom. View of the river was wonderful. I noticed that the restaurant at the hotel didn't get fantastic reviews, however we...

Another great quick romantic getaway from the city, with no baby in tow. 90 minutes by Amtrak and you are right at the hotel. James, as always, is the epitome of hospitality, as are his entire team. We only wish we could stay longer.

In 2014 and 2015, we made the trip up from NYC to The Rhinecliff for Thanksgiving Dinner. In 2016, we were joined by another couple who wanted to experience what we had described as a wonderful day out of the City to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner without all the fuss. They came to the same conclusion we did twice before. "What...

I remember the Rhinecliff from the days when the bar was upstairs and spilled out on to the verandah facing the Hudson. Since then it's been updated, the rooms refurbished as loft-style spaces with high ceilings and big beds. The bathroom had a large soaking tub and complimentary candles and good smelling soap. They moved the restaurant to a more...

We went to another Burns Supper at the Rhinecliff in early February of 2017. The food at dinner was OK this time. However breakfast was sumptuous. The staff was as friendly as ever, the locale beautiful, and the evening and morning very fun. A most enjoyable event.

Trains and barges and The Hudson all flowed by. The breakfast on Saturday included perfect pancakes and a french press. Tv offered premium movies and the music with sunday brunch included 30s to current standards in a mellow way. Two dancers added to the vibe.

The hotel is quaint and authentic. It has original plank flooring and narrow stairs to the guest rooms. Very different from the stock chain contemporary hotels. We stayed in a River room with a terrace overlooking the train tracks and the Hudson. While it is old it is clean and not musty. It has been renovated with a spacious modern...
