My son and I went to Cooperstown for a weekend in August, and I had read about The Lake House so we decided to stop in for dinner. it was a very unique and different place. all of the furnishings were from a different period, but very nice. they brought us to the small bar area while they got our...

Unfortunately for us our phone service did not work in this area so I could not read the reviews of the Lake House. We had driven for 7 hours up from southern NJ and we were just anxious to find a place to stay. I should have trusted my instincts when I walked in...first there was no one to be...

The hotel was awesome. They have a section of the lake that you can swim in and everything. Crystal clear water. "The staff was friendly and helpful". What other people have said about creaky floors and older building are true. Still, the room was more than up to any standard and is full of antiques and Tiffany lights are all...

Charming Lodge in a beautiful location on Lake Candarago, a few minutes' drive from Glimmerglass Opera. Clean, comfortable room. Lakeside setting for eating complimentary continental breakfast and for pedal boating. Just lovely. It was beautiful. Wish we had planned to stay longer.

We rented a couple of rooms at this hotel so we could enjoy a favorite band of ours that was playing at the Lake House. We had visited the restaurant previously and were excited to see that they also rented rooms. The hotel portion of the Lake House is very quaint and has a camp-like atmosphere, which we were excited...

More like a B&B than a hotel. Room was about the size of kids bedroom. Hardwood floors were nicely refinished. Attached bathroom was adequate; shower was dark, no light. A/C was in window type that was turned on shortly before our arrival. Basic bedding could use updating, but was clean. Room had one queen bed and one conference room type...

I was originally slated to stay at the Baseball hotel but due to electrical problems or so they say, I was transferred to this dump. Apparently, the same people own both of these places. when I arrived , there is no elevator so you need to climb multiple flights of stairs with your luggage. The place smells of cat urine....

I stayed here this past weekend. Frankly I did not even intend to write a review about how bad my stay was until I was poking around on trip advisor and Facebook and saw how many blatantly fake reviews are posted by the staff. Stayed here 2 nights last week. The hotel is on a nice lake and has a...

We used to enjoy this place. We had our wedding reception here years ago. Our meal was ok. Our waitress did not seem happy we asked her if everything was ok and she did not answer but seemed better after that. We moved from inside to porch because the flys were all over us. There was a dog and two...

The good: Very nice owners, gorgeous lakefront property, pet friendly. While we didn't eat at the restaurant, I heard good reviews of it. The bad: Booking is done by calling in and having your information written down on an index card. When I didn't get a followup to my reservation and called back I had to provide my information again...
