Been going since I was six. The park it beautiful if you love the outdoors, however the cabins are very mediocre. The mattresses in the cots are at leastb10 years old and the cots sqeek very loud when someone rolls over. Most cabins do not have running water, the dining tables are a picnic table with benches which haven't been...

Great big State Park for every age. We had site E 022 in Red House Loop E. Nice site and treeded. We didn't get to enjoy much of the park as we arrived late and left early the next morning. Nice big clean shower area.

I've been there few times. The camping is not that big, so make sure you place a reservation prior to your arrival. We are going there for the nice roads for cycling, within the park and the surrounding neighborhoods. The office, Red house is by itself a monument. There are many possible activities and hiking trips. Great campground for both...

We stayed at the campground in the Red House area, Loop A, site 36, from a Monday to Thursday. The campground has a lot of good things about it. It's close to the lake, which has a swimming beach, rental rowboats, canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. It's close to the General Store. It's close to the Administration Building, which has...

We have stayed in this park many times, over the years. The installation of newer bathroom facilities is definitely a bonus - some of the cabin trails still have outhouses. We have been Tent camping for the last few years, and it's great. Bathrooms are cleaned daily, plenty of TP and the Bear Boxes at the tent sites are a...

We stayed in the new Cabins on the Bova trail. The cabin was very spacious and plenty of room. There is 2 bedrooms and two futons in the cabins so there is plenty of space for a large group. The cabin was equipped with a gas stove and refrigerator. The area around the cabin was very nice. It rained hard...

I have camped at Allegany State Park in both the Quaker and Red House areas at least once a year for 40 years. I've come in the spring, summer, fall and winter. And I urge you to ignore any negative reviews you read here! The park is magical. It is one of my favorite places on earth - and I've...

We spent the better part of a week in August in a primitive cabin in the Quaker area of Allegany State Park. Primitive is just that -- no electric or running water in the cabin. Restrooms are a short walk away, a water spigot is nearby and bathhouses are a longer walk or a short drive. The cabins are basic...

I grew up in Salamanca so I spent a lot of time at the park. I try to get back to stay there at least once a season. It's relaxing to take a bike ride around the lake and enjoy all of what the park offers. Not bad fishing and fun to boat in the lake.

There is never enough good things to say about ASP! I have been camping there for 37 years & I am a third generation camper of the park. My kids love the park & have been camping there their entire lives, they are teens now. The park is beautiful and I can never go enough. I usually camp on the...

“Look for cabins that do not have many together - for noise. Look for cabins that have a good bathroom nearby. We always look for a cabin close to the creek for the kids.”
