This is a very nice Campground even though all the roads are dirt along with the campsites. Nothing fancy but very cozy. Has a heated pool. Only 1 washing machine was working however. I suggest getting a site near the creek. Also only has 1 shower room near the pool

Rip Van Winkle is a very kempt and gorgeous campground. Came here with the lady, and they accommodated us 20 minutes after their latest check-in. The bathrooms and showers are squeaky clean as are all the other facilities. The drive-in movie under the stars was amazing as well. Who doesn't love The Lion King? Definitely going to be our go...

Great campground that has amazing amenities but still makes you feel like you're camping the middle of nowhere. My girlfriend and I make it a tradition now to go every Columbus Day Weekend. The campground is usually half full with plenty of "remote" tent sites. This year we chose a spot in the Lovers Lane section. After a very friendly...

Very clean and well kept campground. Sites are close to level and arranged to provide a bit of privacy. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Nearby bike path provides miles of biking, walking and running pleasure. Did I say clean? Local pizza shop delivers to your campsite. Great snack bar on weekends. Well stocked storeThis is a yearly stay for...

We’ve stayed at both the KOA and Rip Van Winkle Campgrounds in Saugerties, and Rip Van Winkle is our favorite by far. The grounds are pretty, with a winding gravel road that leads through a fairly heavily wooded forest and past a creek (we like the creekside sites the best). The tent sites are huge so you never feel like...

This was our second camping trip and we had a good time here. Our site was large and had many tall trees. The camp has loads of fun things for the kids and a great store for all your needs. We found the bathrooms and showers to be clean. The heated pool was a pleasure in September. Will definitely be...

We love Rip van Winkle campground. This is our second year as seasonals and we come up pretty much every weekend. We love the tranquility, the spaciousness of the site, The friendliness of the staff and The other campers. While they have a pool, we enjoy the flowing river where we can bring the dogs to cool off. And there...

Nice big, level site. Bathrooms were clean. Reasonable to navigate with a 35' class A rig. My only complaint was bath houses that cost a quarter to take a shower. Seems like after paying $50 for a site that they shouldn't buckle and dime you like that.

When we arrived we were greeted with a smile, even though we arrived late. I made an error in my reservation and the office was extremely accommodating. We were escorted to our site where we discovered our cable didn't work and one of the owners spent over an hour helping us get it working. Eric was very knowledgable about the...
