First let me say that I don't stay at B&Bs much (intentionally, because I like to be guaranteed modern conveniences) but my sister booked this place for a couple days' get-together...and I have to say it turned out to be charming and just right for our needs. We stayed in the two large upper floor rooms of the main house...

The bed had a very long red hair in it, obviously the sheets hadn't been changed. (I have short brown hair and hadn't been in the bed yet.) The furniture smelled. The bathroom was clean, however. Breakfast was a waffle and orange juice and I had to ask for coffee. Very bizarre experience. Won't be repeated.

My wife was very excited about staying at this bed and breakfast(not so much breakfast). When she spoke with the owner we were told it would be fine to arrive at noon. We arrived at our destination and no one answered. The sign said" if no one answers call this number. We called the number and were told by the...

As I replied to your wives, TripAdvisors review, we are truly sorry that you and your wife were unsatisfied with your overnight at our B&B. Most of our more than 3,300 guests have conveyed their stays to be very pleasant. Schenectady has many great choices for lodging and we hope that you will again visit Schenectady and have a more...

I chose this B and B because of the very high recommendations of the hostess. However, we arrived to a closed house and waited for half an hour before someone came and checked us in. The accommodations were great but felt we spent the night there alone as no one checked in on us. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. We...

We had a last minute notion to drive over to Schenectady from visiting Cooperstown so we could hop the Amtrak train into Manhattan. Since it was mid-week we easily secured a reservation here for just one night and was assured the train station was close by. This turned out to be a wonderful idea. Virginia gave us the old ballroom...

I really liked this inn. My friends and I arrived wet from a rainy bicycling sojourn along the Canalway trail, and when I saw my huge room complete with sofa, I cheered up immediately. The feel is historic but roomy and so comfortable. I basically had a suite which was better than I expected. Bathroom was lovely, the bed was...

I stayed there only for one night, but it was very pleasant stay. The historic atmosphere of the place is incredibly charming. The room was very clean and quiet, even though it was very close to the entrance. The hostess is a very nice lady. My morning conversation with her was very informative, and learned a lot about Schenectady and...

We stayed at this B&B back in February of 2014. We love the Historic Stockade area and was excited about this B&B located within the Stockade. However, we were sadly disappointed.. we checked in mid-afternoon, the room was nice and quaint, but very cold until late evening,No tea and cookies in the afternoon, which is typically a 'usual' at B&B's....

We stayed in the HUGE Martha room (pictured on this page) with very comfortable bed, sitting area, and semi-private bathroom. The bathroom does have a door to another bedroom, but no one else was staying at the time of our stay. The door joining our room to the bathroom did not have a latch or lock, though, so we were...

Bed was so big I needed a stool to get in it! I stayed in the front room in the summer so there was some street noise but it didn't go late. Service could not have been better. I arrived earlier than expected yet I was well taken care of. Loved the breakfast! The location can't be beat. Would definitely...

“Ellice Room is on the first floor, front of house just as you enter the front door. I would not recommend this room if you are a single woman traveling or if you want a private bathroom. I did not take a tour to see the rooms upstairs.”
