We've enjoyed dinner in the dining room and after-dinner drinks in the lounge and the experience was pleasant and unique. The history of this well-kept property is daunting and the management obviously takes pride in the small details of keeping the public rooms impeccably maintained. The drinks in the lounge are imaginative and the entertainment was jazzy on the night...

We were in town for one night to be with family so we did not take advantage of the dining room. We did enjoy the continental breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and the bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries.

We booked a room for two nights. The place may have been nice at one time - but no longer. The place is worn out. And not being taken care of well. The public rooms are dismal with poor lighting. There is an old (freight?) elevator - an ancient one, that is so small that it can barely fit two...

There is so much history in this beautiful old home! At one time my great, great, great grandfather, Chauncey Vibbard called this home. Our room was large and beautifully furnished. The elevator is so unique in today's world...with a beautiful folding brass gate! We had a wonderful dinner in the lounge and enjoyed the live music....we even danced! At one...

I am going to start by saying we had a fantastic weekend. Jeff who coordinated a lot of the events was amazing, kind, caring, always smiling and just always appeared to be happy! The hotel is old, but well kept. There is an elevator just in case you are not told, it is SMALL, but works. I like that the...

This grand hotel is one of my favorites in the US. The rooms are spacious and just beautiful, taking in the advantage of the high ceilings and beautiful adornments of yesteryear. I feel like a queen every time I stay at the Stockade. The lobby is intimate and tastefully decorated with a sense of history that is simply not available...

Beautiful building in the historic district. Easy walk to State Street. 3rd floor Room was large, clean and overlooked a church. It was raining we arrived and and left and both times the staff opened the back door to access the parking lot. Staff was friendly. Nice bar area which doubled up for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast(included) is simple....

If you love to stay in a charming historic inn, this is the best in the city of Schenectady, New York. It is located in the Stockade district of the city, where many quaint row houses and homes surround the property. My grandchildren especially love the Billiards Room located on the 3rd floor. Although there isn't a restaurant on the...

Old, dark , high ceiling, big room. Bring you back to hundred years ago as soon as you walk in to the house. Bathroom is moden and very clean. Glad its contrast to the rest of room. Friendly people. If you like early America style, you would preciate it more. We enjoyed one night stay.
