Charming B&B with wonderful hosts! Rooms are okay and breakfast was excellent. Wifi is spotty. The hosts truly want you to be comfortable and make this inn stand out. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a weekend get-away.

Stayed in Room #2 for the weekend. 5 stars for hospitality, breakfast, and location. This B&B is close enough to civilization and far away enough from the very things we wanted to get away from, like city lights, crowds, and noise. Stargazed on our own beach chairs in the back of the house and it was perfect. It was dark...

Adirondack State Park (ADK) is remarkable, and one of the great highlights is the Silver Spruce Inn, just north of the town of Schroon Lake. There is so much history in this cozy and hospitable inn, that you will marvel at the surroundings -- from a Prohibition Era bar to a player piano that works! If you are heading south...

Stayed for two nights in carriage house rooms. These rooms are modern with great beds, fireplace and jet tub. Note no WiFi except in main lodge library and no TV. AC here is window unit. Large outside grounds. Spectacular views of stars and Milky Way on clear nights. Breakfast was very good traditional. Scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast one day...

Absolutely the very best B&B that my husband and I have ever visited. We were treated like royalty, the breakfast was fantastic, and the entire place is chock full of history, intrigue, and much more. Just lovely! Wayne and Pam Steadman

We've been coming back to the Silver Spruce Inn for twenty years, ever since my husband ran the first ever Adirondack Marathon. The rooms are Adirondack lodge style wood throughout, spacious, the bathrooms are historically accurate but with all of the comforts you would need. There is a home organ on the second floor, a large fireplace in the first...

My family has been going to the Silver Spruce Inn for about 25 years in Schroon Lake. Phyllis, who runs the bed and breakfast, is such a kind and wonderful person. The inn has an amazing history and has been well cared for. Phyllis' breakfast is always delicious and amazing!

Phyllis, the proprietor, is personable, kind and a wonderful hostess. She made us feel welcome and at home from the start--even before we arrived when calling with questions for our reservations. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and shown around. The grounds and the accommodations are beautiful and well cared for. The entire place gleams: clean, comfortable, relaxed with a...

The Silver Spruce has an intriguing history. The well kept section which faces Route 9 was built in 1790 using pegs rather than nails. Wealthy heiresses built the major portion of the Inn as a summer retreat during prohibition. Thus, the Inn has multiple locations to conceal alcoholic beverages. The heiresses brought a large staff when they came to the...
