I love Sunset Beach. I love the casual, chic atmosphere. You feel as though you are in Europe after a fun ferry ride and winding road. My favorite is the top deck where you have the most beautiful view of sunset and boats. I love that children can play on the beach and you can grab a bite. Our server...

My husband and I stayed here last summer with our then-six month old. It was perfect for what we wanted - the beach and restaurant/bar are right outside your door, so you don't have to go far for anything. The room was big enough to comfortably fit a travel crib. It's definitely a trendy hotel and I was a bit...

This is a comfortable beachside hotel in a lovely peaceful location. The staff were very friendly, efficient and generally glamorous. The restaurant served simple, fresh, well cooked food with good choices. However, there were no alternatives to the hotel restaurant nearby and the prices for breakfast and lunch were expensive. If you don't have a car you are locked into...

Came to a Sunset Beach on a recommendation from a friend who loves it. Overall Sunset is a fun, warm, chic little hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and kind, the crowd in the hotel is fun and outgoing! The views from the hotel and beach are spectacular. We enjoyed just hanging out and watching the people. The rooms are...

It is impossible for me to understand previous reviews of Sunset Beach, quite simply we have had the amazing start to our honeymoon here. I was nervous upon booking having read various reviews and came with trepidation. I couldn't be more delighted to say how wrong they are. Everything about this place is simply fantastic. It is beautifully styled, spotlessly...

My friend and I thought this would be a great getaway weekend from Manhattan. First--the property is fun---think trendified, upscale motel. The landscaping is lovely, but the rooms are pretty bare bones/low end. It's all about location, location, location. It's right across from the beach. They have a fun open air restaurant with cool music and vibe. Unfortunately the wknd...

Probably the worst hotel experience I've had in my life to being with. Come on...if the waiter is screwing you with $10 water, can it get any worse? OK, so I write my note after getting thieved and the new manager (son of the old owner) calls me a few months later. Great. Nice guy. Wants to turn things around..blah.blah....

Shelter island is a quiet place with not many activities. The Sunset beach in is located on a nice stretch of beach but don't expect soft sand. Like most long island north beaches it is very rocky. The sunset beach is on the high end price wise including the restaurant.

I own a b&b nearby to Sunset Beach and it's a favorite for my guests to enjoy a glass of Rosé or a perfectly executed cocktail while watching the sunset! Sunset Beach offers a touch of the "Hamptons experience", too. For socializing and night life (dancing til the wee hours with a well known DJ) or enjoying a quick break...
