This hotel canceled my reservation a week after booking stating that they had "overbooked". Terrible business practice and terrible customer service as the email I received stated "Megan, We apologize we must cancel your reservation for a studio suite for 3/10-3/11 at the Cannon Suites. We are over booked. Paul, desk manager"

It was in a nice location for what we needed. It was clean and there was lots of room. The staff was helpfull. They even walked us to our room. Said we could check out as late as 2pm. They gave us a bigger room than what I requested, it could have slept almost 8 people.

We had a terrific experience at Cannon Suites, start to finish. First of all, the location couldn't have been more ideal for visiting lovely downtown Troy. Called ahead and they cheerfully accommodated our request for early check-in. Was given an enormous suite with full kitchen (perfect for cooking up the beautiful veggies we scored at the weekly farmer's market that...

If you're looking for high end interiors and loads of amenities-this is not for you. HOWEVER-if you want a clean, roomy suite that offers a great central downtown Troy location and at a great price, this is definitely the place to be! We were on the 5th floor and enjoyed a very quiet space. We heard very little as the...

I never got a chance to stay at Cannon Suites but I did reserve a room via their online booking system and recieve three emails confirming the booking. When it came time for me to check in, no one was present at the hotel and there was a sign with a handwritten note on the door. After calling and leaving...

Based on the negative reviews and the price that seemed too low for its great downtown location, I wasn't expecting much. But I liked this place -- it was much better than I expected. Yes, it's an old building, and nothing is brand new and gleaming, but it was clean and well maintained. The suite was big, mattress was super...

We have been at Cannon suites the past 2 summers, while it offers a great central location to most events in June/July, the overall cleanliness and service is not great. Yes there are some renovations going on, but ultimately we ended up the same suite as the year prior, and there was nothing done to it. Major issue with spiders...

Nice location but really old and not clean. Bathroom was not cleaned properly and the air conditioning were the small window type that sounded like train running through our bedroom all night. The staff was accommodating but this building needs lots of work. I would suggest any other hotel in beautiful Troy unless you're desperate.

My original stay was slated for 10 weeks. This is a very old and tired building that they are calling elegant...If you are needing a home away from home..this is far from a home! It is a mixture of long term and some extended stay residents. The walls are paper thin, I had small children and a baby that was...

We just returned from a weekend stay at Cannon Suites. We were visiting my son at RPI for Family weekend. By the time we had decided to visit Troy, all the hotels were booked. I was a little worried about booking Cannon Suites because there were very few reviews and they were so mixed. We decided to give it a...
