We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Walnut B&B! The house is lovely, our bed was comfy. Jack's attention to thoughtful details was much appreciated. We enjoyed fresh brownies every night, delicious breakfasts, and a bag of fresh apples, pears, and brownies to go, as we left. Jack knows the area well and had very helpful tips for restaurants,...

This small B&B is located conveniently in the NY Finger-lakes area and was a great quiet retreat. Located close to many, many wineries and attractions. The accommodations were spacious, thoughtful and well appointed. This was a big deal, since the house was originally built in the 1800's! The owner and inn keeper, Jack was friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about...

The old home had a lot of character with some uneven floors but was charming, spotless, and comfortable. Jack was a very gracious host who went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. If we go to that area of the country again (very likely) we will definitely stay there again if a room is available.

It was super meeting the 2 of you, and your review is greatly appreciated. The original floors around the house (built in 1802), are 99% flat, but there is an slight uneven grade in 2 spots. Many of my guests comment favorably about this, understanding that the house is 213 years old, and that the slight unevenness adds to the...

Taking an historic 1802 home and creating a charming bed and breakfast is no small feat, but Innkeeper Jack M. has done just that! The Finger Lakes region is spectacular with all its scenic vistas, enjoyable rambles, and sweet vineyards and experiences. The Black Walnut has absorbed all the gracious feel of this region and provides very comfortable rooms with...

My boyfriend and I recently spent the night at Black Walnut B&B for our anniversary, and it was everything we wanted and more. Upon arrival, we were shown to our room and offered afternoon wine (and brownies!) on the enclosed porch. Every part of the house was beautifully decorated, but our suite (the Blue Moon suite) was just to die...

There isn't a bad thing we can say about Black Walnut, but there is plenty of good! Jack is such a warm and interesting Southern gentleman, and a phenomenal host as well.
