This location is elevated above the commercial strip and tucked into a hill. The lobby/dining area is a “Great Room” space with a connection to an outdoor terrace in nice weather. One of the better Hampton Inn’s in this regard. Also, effective black-out shades…no light through shade cracks like in other hotels.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay with us. Our sincere thanks for your kind words. We delight in making our guests feel welcome and comfortable. The black-out shades are absolutely the best! Even in the middle of the day they keep the room dark! Best wishes in all of your future travels.

This hotel was perfect. It has a wonderful staff, particularly Aaron who checked us in at night. The breakfast was kept impeccably clean and well stocked the entire time it was open. The mini store with all types of drinks and snacks was a life saver upon arrival.
My only minor complaint was the lack of lighting in the room. The room was quite dark and could have used a few extra lights either floor lamps or overhead.
I came in town for a funeral and ended up having to stay an extra night due to a storm. The location and amenities at this hotel made this a painless process.

I enjoyed staying here when passing through New York on my way to Albany area and Vermont. The hotel was clean and room was a decent size. They had walk in showers and for someone like me who has knee and back issues that was great. Bathroom was a decent size and towels were nice and thick. The bed pillows were not comfortable and were small so I would suggest you bring your own unless you like small pillows.
The indoor pool was warm and a nice size. The continental breakfast offered many hot and cold items. I enjoyed the mixed berries and waffles. Breakfast area had several tables and there was also and outdoor seating area as well. The lobby shop featured snacks for purchase as well as other items.
Janet and Aaron at front desk were pleasant.
Would gladly stay here again if passing through the area.

The room and bathroom were clean, there was a big screen TV, and a small fridge and microwave, with a pantry selling light frozen dinners/pizzas, ice cream, snacks and beverages. The hotel was set back from the highway so the noise wasn't bad, the pool was pretty warm and just big enough to swim some short laps. Warm breakfast not bad, included eggs, potatoes and turkey sausage. 24 hour coffee available in the lobby, plenty of parking close to the entrances. There was an Applebees across the highway and some fast food places nearby, but otherwise not much in the way of dining within walking distance. My only real complaint was that on check-in for 2 nights, I was asked if I wanted housekeeping. But when we returned from a funeral the next late afternoon, the beds were not made, the dirty towels were not replaced, the wastebaskets not emptied. In other words, housekeeping did not show up despite my request.

We kept getting the smell of cigarette smoke in our room, we realized it was coming in through the bathroom vent, we had to leave the loud tan on constantly in order to keep the smell out of our room.

Window blinds were broken so we couldn't lower the shade to block people from looking in our room or to block the lights. They were haphazardly tied up with string!

They abruptly close the "free" breakfast 10 minutes before it was supposed to end, and we got turned away by a staff member who barked at us "10 o'clock", although it wasn't 10 yet! After inquiring at the front desk, we see the entire hotel staff making their way in and out of the breakfast area with full plates of food!! Nice little operation they have going on here, at the paying customers expense!

There are plenty of other hotels in the area, avoid this one!

Great service from the time we walked in. The front desk staff was very helpful and recommended a place to eat that we are still talking about. Just like everthing we expect from Hampton INN and the service we get.

The location is off the Main Street, which is a huge advantage to get away from noise. The staff were warm and welcoming, rooms were clean. It was nice to see that hot breakfast is available again! I would definitely stay here again.

Stopped for the evening on a Sunday night. Our first floor room was clean and comfortable. Room seemed well maintained although on the small side typical of today’s hotels. The layout included a end wall closet with an ironing board, luggage rack and extra blanket. Blackout curtain worked really well. Woke up from noise when a neighboring room was moving around, but mostly quiet
The hotel is located on a road that winds up a hillside from the main road so there was no traffic noise. Arriving after dark, the lighting for the hotel turnoff was minimal and could be improved.
The hotel lay out had the rooms set off to the side down a long hallway from the front entrance. Multiple side entrances along the length of the hotel for access.
Didn’t see any dogs but the door had a hangtag to alert staff if there were a dog in the room.
Breakfast standard fare. Nice outside patio with tables with umbrellas if you want to eat outdoors.

Enjoyed having the quality of Hampton Inn for a place to rest after a long days drive through New York.

The room was very large and spacious just perfect for an extended stay. The main room and bedroom were clean. The bathroom shower had hair in the drain and a large amount of hair and dust stuck under the door as well as fingernail trimmings on the floor near the sink. The air conditioning unit would change automatically during the day and the room would heat up, this is not acceptable when you sleep during the day. Although the room was a suite with a kitchenette that does not include a cook surface other than the mini microwave. It was impossible to meal prep. Breakfast was served daily and the overall atmosphere of the facility was great.

This is your average Hampton Inn with clean rooms, functional furniture and typical amenities. But what really makes this hotel special are the people. We traveled to this particular hotel once before, and found the staff to be extremely welcoming and accommodating. This last trip was even more so. We left something behind in our room, and were called within two hours of check out. We thank Michael in housekeeping for retrieving it, and Joanne for promptly calling us. Everyone from the front desk staff (Aaron and Teresa) to the people who prepare the breakfast, are friendly, kind and extremely helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning soon!

Is the hotel still being renovated?
Answer from bcEagle03

The hotel was being renovated when we stayed in December. You’d have to contact the hotel for an update. We did not find the reno disruptive. They’re doing the reno in stages/blocks of rooms. Only impact on us - hallway carpet several rooms down from where we stayed was covered in plastic to keep drywall dust off the carpet.
