Buzz backpackers was a good option for cheap accommodation. The room was basic but served it's purpose. The geyser did not work, but we were given the use of another shower that was nice and warm. The bar next door was quite noisy until about midnight. The people were friendly. There was no overhead light in the room. Overall -... More

Booked at short notice through helpful staff. But no incentive to return. Unnattractive side of town next door to tractor dealership Main business seems to be bar and big screen TV adjacent to backpacker rooms - which fills rooms with noise and smoke. Staff helpful intially but never saw them again. Walls are thin plyboard and do little for noise/... More

We stopped here as a place to stay on route to Lesotho. Maria and the team here are running a tight ship and may have taken over recently but is a great place to stay. Rooms are tidy and bathrooms are brand new . Bar is also new in layout with great chat offered from locals. Good place to stay... More

The pizza is great; dorms are clean but dark, and showers/bathrooms nice with some hot water. Location is a bit difficult without your own transport (none of... More

A fun weekend away turned into one of the worse experiences I have ever had in my life. Wanting to get out of the city for the weekend, we decided to go see the Ficksburg / Clarens area. Buzz was affordable and according to their website it seemed like a decent place to take your family, they even advertised "braai"... More

Correct, this was not a family orientated business, we are a backpackers and not a lodge or guesthouse, we are orientated for younger party people who are enjoying good music all night through and taking it easy. We were still renovating and upgrading, Rome was not built in a day... Regards, Buzz Management More
