A cosy and comfortable hotel near the Drakensberg that offers a welcome respite from the busy urban lifestyle. Service was excellent by the Manager Billy and his team and both the breakfast and dinner offered options which were well presented.

Sanford Park was the perfect place for us to relax, reload and enjoy fresh air and a beautiful view from our beds. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean and spacious, the bathroom lovely (nice hot showers) and the view - priceless! We enjoyed the lovely garden and birdsong early in the mornings and felt extremely welcome when interacting with management and... More

The SPCH is like a pair of comfortable loafers. It is not without nicks and bumps, but it is a lovely setting, the food is quite well done and the staff seem generally glad to have you there. It is without affectation but all the things you need in a hotel in far flung Bergville seem to be in hand,... More

Management and staff do not give a damn about your needs. Rowdy guests kept us up all night and the lady at reception told us that she works untill 22:00, the 24 hour emergency number was not answered the first time we called and switched off thereafter and security disappeared! At 02:00 we gave up, got up and read. The... More

Nice location feels a world away from the city, the lodge and surroundings are picturesque with beautifully laid out gardens around the lodge leading down to the dam. We stayed in the hotel rooms which were comfortable and clean; although might have been nice to try the rondawels. The restaurant feels quaint, breakfast was very enjoyable, with both the usual... I stayed here two nights. The first in the modern hotel suite and the second in the traditional rondavel. The best was the rondavel. Hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. It has an amazing bar at the back of the restaurant which is fantastic true local bar. A home away from home. Take care while driving in the... More

We booked the 3 night B and B package at ZAR 1500. A great deal. Good rooms in the modern block of the hotel and a good breakfast. Billy ( manager) was very helpful in advising about places to visit. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We also took advantage of the set dinner each night. There were different... More
