Clean functional room, friendly & helpful staff members, reasonably security, good breakfast, free wifi, and a convenient location within Stone Town. The staff also arranged for a reasonably priced taxi ($10) to pick us up from the airport which was handy. Visitors should be aware that the location of the hotel is next to a Mosque so be prepared for...

1001 Nights was about an average stay. The room/hotel is definitely not in the best shape. Rooms are very basic. However, our bed was comfy and we did have a good mosquito net, which was needed as there were a fair number of mosquitoes in our room. The staff is friendly and helpful, though they did not have my reservation...

We stayed at 1001 Nights in Stonetown in Zanzibar for the 4 days of Busara. Such a lovely staff! breakfast was a bit different each day and was served at a family table so we met other folk, mostly younger, staying there, which was fun. Our room was just right, with a great fan and good wi-fi, plus we shared...

I've stayed here on several occasions and always recommend it with confidence. It's clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is incredible, (and a good place to meet interesting people), always with cereal, juice, fruit, eggs and sausages, plus toast, mandazi, chapati, or some other type of bread, - it varies every day so if you...

Only just down the street from boarding point for Dar ferry. Main tourist part of Stone Town is about a 10 minute walk away. Very friendly staff and free tea and coffee making facilities in hall is a nice touch. Wireless internet also available in bedrooms.

Only one night as I did seven at sister hotel Princess Salme. Nice, big room, A/C, clean, etc. Can be noisy, but that's typical of the whole island. Generator comes in handy during frequent power outages on the island.

Finding the hotel was easy. Turn left at the harbour entrance to the town and follow the road right around the circle. Tucked away in an alley, just 100 meters from the circle, on the right hand side of the road. We were shown courtesy and friendliness from when we arrived. The rooms were clean and had mosquito nets and...
