Spent three days at this wonderful lodge. If you're looking for air conditioning and all mod cons this isn't the place for you. But if you want regard for the environment combined with great facilities and impeccable service then give this place a visit. Highlight of the trip was a boat trip in the gorge to watch animals watering and...

We spent two nights at the Lodge in low season, and we had a perfect stay there. The service was very good, but close at the same time. Room was very good, with a great style mixing old objects and materials, with new ones. Food was also good, even for kids. We also could enjoy the swimming pool. And I...

A wonderful visit to this super lodge. The lodge itself was beautiful with all needs catered for. The staff were all welcoming, very helpful and friendly. Food was great and served very professionally. The banda was comfortable and just right after outings to wildlife spotting on The Kazinga Channel and chimpanzee trekking in the gorge. Will not forget the swim...

I agree with all the other excellent reviews. Although this lodge is on the edge of a village, it feels remote and private. I stayed in a room named "Brutus" and noticed the window latch and clothes hangers for the robes in the bathroom are VERY high-- challenging for short people! The room was spacious, had an outdoor as well...

We had a great stay here for 3 nights with our family. We did 2 game drives and also did a safari boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, and the Gorge Walk. We also went on a chimpanzee trek (although we did not see them!!!) This is not a place for huge amounts of big game but we did see...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on the edge of the Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth National Park, in Uganda, one of Africa's finest national parks, Volcanoes newest lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, has stunning views over the Gorge and the lush savannah of the park, with the peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. The main lodge building was originally a coffee store and processing plant, surrounded by coffee plantations. The original structure has been sensitively restored to create a stunning living space, balancing the history of the building with the location and creating a series of distinct luxurious contemporary spaces for guests. Eight beautiful, spacious bandas have been carefully nestled into the hillside, each with their own luxury bathroom. Each room has a different aspect of the panoramic views across the gorge, savannah and mythical Rwenzoris. Each banda is uniquely appointed, adopting a different colour theme. ... more   less
