Don't pay extra money to go there just for the Dead Sea. Food was mediocre and locker room and changing facilities were sub par . You have to bring your clothes into the shower/bathroom and there is no room to move. The lunch was not very good and the overall scene was not worth it

It's been years since I was so disappointed from a hotel. I've been here for an hour now and all I want is to get away as far as possible. The lunch food was horrible, seems like half of the dishes are made from frozen produce and tin cans. the room is small, smelly, and dark. the bed is divided...

I like this hotel because it is actually on the beach. You can just walk to the Dead Sea, which is spectacular. They have a great pool, and a nice beach. It's quite an interesting clientele - lots of Orthodox Jews, lots of people with disabilities, some Arabs, lots of older people, a few secular folks. There is great care...

The service was extraordinary. The rooms where clean and you could feel that they are treated with love. The landscape was beautiful. The food was very good and one can choose whatever he likes out of a variety of dishes. The service in the dining room was perfect.

Fantastic amenities: great beach, there is lots of choice for breakfast and dinner and the quality is great (uncommon for a buffet). Spa looks nice, though I didn't visit Rooms are big, yet the interior could be a tad more refined, given the hotel class. Splendid view on the dead sea from the rooms. Internet is very fast and free....

We stayed at the Herods over a weekend and had a fantastic time. The hotel itself is quite modern though the building itself is old. Behind the modern refurbishment there are traces of its past and I think for the hotel to really be labelled luxurious investment in certain areas is most definitely required. The above is the only negative...
