We arrived in August to ski. There is only one option near Santiago, which includes three mountains. We stayed at the largest mountain and arguably the most popular, Valle Nevado. One company offers the only accommodations at the mountain. They offer three "levels" of service hotels. We stayed at the "premium" hotel, but I suspect other than price there is...

It takes about 2 hours from the airport to get the hotel thru a treacherous road. (I strongly advice to take dramamine for the transfer) . We arrived at around 6.00pm and when my wife and I asked to the receptionist to make sure our room had a king bed, she told us we needed to wait until they fixed,...

Spent four days here with my 25 year old son. The hotel staff is very friendly and the place generally works very well. One suggestion before you go: remember where you are going, why you are visiting and set your expectations accordingly. As a ski lodge in one of the most beautiful locations to ski on the planet Hotel Valle...

Amazing views, ski in/out, nice fitness center, small spa, excellent restaurant with very nice breakfast and lunch buffets. Dinner requires reservation as this is best one in the resort area. Rooms are decent size with mini bar, amazing view of mtns or ski hill. Bathrooms could use updating, currently more like a 3 star hotel. Tiny heated pool with bar....

It’s a good hotel, on the expensive side relative to its value, and never memorable. As everything else in Valle Nevado. Good-sized rooms, with enough comfort and cleanness. The hotel must have undergone some renovation not many years ago, since the last time I was there it was rundown and dirty. It is located right in front of the slopes,...

This hotel surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect, and my desire to come was based on the mountain / snow. It far exceeded my expectations. The staff--from ski valet to front desk to waiters--went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The room was cozy and comfortable, with views of Andes. I'll be back.

If you are like me, when June rolls around, you really miss ski season. So you ask, where can I ski in the Summer? Answer: South America. Valle Nevada is about a 2-hr drive from Santiago. When there is weather, it can take longer. The ski terrain is epic. Huge scale, open and not crowded. Until this season, there had...

I rented boots, skis and poles today and they are charging 33000 for basic and 39000pesos for (very average) prestige equipment. And if you look at their website in advance it does not give prices. No wonder. Of course once you are there at Valle Nevado you have no choice - rent from them or don't ski. Crazy short term...

Spent 1 night here in September 2014. Hotel has amazing views and is built on the side of a gorge. Very good service. Breakfast and dinner are included in the price and you can go to either a French or Italian restaurant.

Went in Aug 2013. 2nd leg of our honeymoon. Spent a week here. Room was large and comfortable. Wasn't so nice of luxurious but it did the job. Appears they renovated so I'm sure it's better. Staff were great. Very helpful and nice. Restaurants were ok at best. Food was a killer for me here. We tried them all. Definitely...
