A really lovely chateau with really big rooms and excellent well-fitted bathrooms. Makes a perfect base from which to explore the area although it is a fair bit out of town so you will need a car.
We had been looking forward to dining there...More
We stayed there for 2 nights in September 2016. This is a very cute little manor in the middle of the vineyards. Good base to explore the area, but you need to walk 20 mn (through the main road) or 45 (through the vineyards) to...More
We had a great experience at Chateau Franc Grace-Dieu. It is close to the lovely little town of Saint Emilion. Our room was huge! In fact, the bathroom alone seemed larger than our entire room on the river cruise we had just completed. The vineyards...More
Comfortable room, large bathroom. TV in room allows additional HDMI for Apple TV (we watched Netflix in English) via good wifi. Wine tasting basic. The male manager, Lucas, is a first-class chef, actually a culinary artist, who prepared an excellent 5 course meal that would...More

We had a five course dinner that was superb, prepared by Lucas. The cost was 35 euro pp. The menu was asparagus soup with bacon, French omelet, duck breast with tomato parmigiana, assorted cheese, and strawberry-citrus dessert. Possibly the best meal we had during our French travels this month. I probably forgot some of the particulars, but it was delicious.
