The location of the hotel is good, however the hotel itself is pretty mediocre. The room we stayed in was small and the furniture very tired and unimaginative. The breakfast was better than expected with a decent selection of breads, meats and cheeses. The staff were helpful. I would not stay there again.

I stayed here for one night while on a walking holiday. The concierge was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We didn't use the pool, as the weather was a bit cool. I would definitely stay here again if in Saint-Emilion!

At the last minute we had to stop off and spend the night in St Emilion. This was the only place that would accept our little dog and had availability. The a/c was noisy even when off, the room was very average indeed and the bill was quite ridiculous. However, dinner was excellent. A very contradictory experience. I suspect this... More

From the times when I have been late away and early back, it appears St Em is pretty hellish in the day time, but in the evenings when the crowds have gone it is magical and the Palais Cardinal is a great place to stay to enjoy it. The hotel is situated right at the top of the main street... More

I stayed here 11-12 septembre. Hotel is SUPER. Nice, calm, beautiful. Kind, helpful staff. Located in the village and after long walking you may just come here and have rest. An interior is gorgeous - made as old french chic. Room is small but have enough for comfortable rest. No plastic window - old woody. Only one discomfort - loud... More

An extremely well located hotel for a stay in St Emilion. Very warm friendly staff, good clean rooms and good facilities. Also off street parking and a swimming pool added to the pluses. A small downside our rooms had no aircon, apart from this we had a great stay

We stayed in a "luxury" room to ensure that we had a room with air conditioning. (I went to the hotel's website w/ translation for info on rooms with a/c.) The room we had was huge, with 2 twin beds pushed together, nice-enough linens, French doors overlooking a quiet garden, a bathroom w/ two sinks & tub (no stand-up shower),... More

We had a bicycle accident the Sunday evening we were in St. Emilion and arrived at the hotel with some distress. The pharmacy near by was closed and we were not sure where to go for supplies. The staff was very attentive to our needs and the desk clerk drove and got us supplies. What a blessing to have such... More

We arrived early and Gladys on the front desk couldn't be nicer. She got us towels and showed us to the pool and then let us know when our room was ready. The twin room was small but was fresh and the bathroom was very modern. The dinner in the evening was lovely. Our waiter made great recommendations and the... More

We stayed here one night in July as we decided to extend our stay in St. Emilion and our other hotel was fully booked. It was terribly hot and the hotel doesn't have AC - I'm sure it would have been fine outside of that heat wave, but we didn't get much sleep (even with a fan). The rooms are... More
