We spent three lovely nights here in July 2019. We took a taxi from the ferry to the b&b just so we knew where we were going. It dropped us a short walk from the house- maybe 3/4 of a mile or so. It’s uphill and there are a few flights of stairs but it’s not difficult although I would recommend travelling light luggage wise. Maria greeted us with homemade torta Caprese and fruit juice and spent some time explaining the island and things of interest over a map. The house is situated with a view to Ischia which is fantastic and we had our own spacious balcony. Breakfast was simple each day but perfectly acceptable- fresh fruit, bread rolls, a pastry, coffee and fruit juice. We would recommend Da Gelsomina for dinner and spectacular sunsets just a short walk from the house in the direction of the lighthouse.…
My husband and I stayed at Il Grappolo over a long weekend in late September, and it was the perfect place to stay. We had a stunning view from our deck, overlooking Anacapri and the water. There were lounge chairs available to relax and soak it all in. Our room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast every morning was lovely. The location is great if you enjoy being away from the touristy chaos. It was quiet, peaceful, but a quick 15 minute walk to Anacapri where you could enjoy the day or pick up busses to take you around the island. The one thing to note is you can't reach to B&B by car, it is a 15 minute walk from where a taxi or bus drops you off in the center. I encourage packing light. This place was amazing, highly recommend, and hope we get back one day!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; the rooms were clean and comfortable as well as the grounds. After climbing the many steps we were greeted with cake and juice; the climb was so worth it for the views from the B&B. Watched the best sunset of the holiday from here. We enjoyed being away from the main busy towns and get a taste of local Italian life. Maria was most accommodating despite the language barrier and made our stay enjoyable. This B&B isn’t too far from Anacapri
If you want to get away from the touristy chaos of Capri, this is your place. So relaxing! Cute b&b with a terrance overlooking anacapri and the water. Some taxis won't go all the way up to the b&b and will tell you to walk up the path... Fine if you have minimal luggage otherwise ask the next cab... You'll find one. The path is clearly marked if you do decide to walk up. The cab was about 30 Euros from the Marina. The host doesn't really speak any English. We got by just fine with Google translate, contextual clues, and knowing Spanish.
I stayed for 3 nights with my sister in this stunning location. The view from the b&b is out of this world. The host, Maria, is a wonderful person full of kindness and hospitality. We were greeted with a slice of traditional Capri Cake/tart and a glass of juice from her own oranges. The breakfast was beautiful, never a shortage of fresh sweets and juice. Maria was very helpful. You can pay for a Giro boat trip around the island directly to obtain a discount. Great dining recommendations also. The drive to the B&B can give the impression that it's in accessible but there is a short cut for pedestrians that makes it very easy. Definitely recommend.
Credit goes to Maria for creating a relaxing, warm environment for guests. She greeted us on arrival with juice and cake, gave us some ideas on walks, and showed us to our room, which was tastefully decorated and comfortable. Don't expect English language TV channels, but I assume most people carry their own entertainment these days. The breakfast room is cosy and Maria is ready whenever you are. The key is left in the door for you to take with you. Maria spoke to us in Italian, which I have only a rudimentary understanding of, but her meaning is clear and she is a wonderful host.
Stayed 4 nights in September and had a wonderful stay. Upon arrival, Maria (host) greeted us with juice and cake. She then explained a number of activities and modes of transportation available on the island. The room was clean, all of the amenities were provided, and Maria was an incredible sweet host who went above and beyond.
I went to Capri in July 2017 with my wife and our stay at the B & B Il Grappolo was wonderful. We were greeted by the owner of the place who received us with a pie made by her. In addition, she provided us with several important information to make our stay even better. Breakfast is made with most products cooked by the owner, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The place is not so close to the center but it is easy to access and the view is simply spectacular. I would recommend to all and wish to return soon!
Maria was incredible and friendly. She helped us in every way possible. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a very long travel experience but Maria made sure we had someone pick us up late at night from the ferry. I do not know what we would have done without her. She help make my son's wedding a wonderful experience in Capri
Stayed two nights here in March and had a lovely stay. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the husband who walked us up to the house where his wife greeted us with cake and juice. Although there was a language barrier she was a wonderful host who was willing to do anything to make our stay more comfortable. The bed was comfortable and there were extra pillows in the cabinet which was a plus! The breakfast was pretty slim- one croissant, coffee and white bread (a bit of protein would have been nice), but other than that the bnb was great. I would recommend staying here for your Anacapri getaway!
