Hilda welcomed us with a taste of artisanal Limoncello and Olivoncino. The rooms are clean and spacious. The location is perfect and private (no stairs) by the quite small piazza of Chiesa St Michele. Near to restaurants and Casa Rosa. I totally recommend this place.
My friends and I booked this guesthouse for our 3-day stay in Capri. The guesthouse is located in Anacapri in a very central location, everything can be reached within walking distance ; 5min walk to the bus heading to Marina Grande and Capri, 2min walk to the nearest supermarket . The room/ bathroom were sparkling clean with a lemon-like scent. The host is very friendly, she offered us snacks, water, juice and coffee, she also gave us a map and suggested best way to spend our days in Capri (things to do, what to eat, best beaches, etc..) I highly recommend this guesthouse and would definitely book it again the next time we decide to visit Capri.
The location was great, Anacapri is smaller than Capri, but we liked the city very much. Everything is just in walking distance from the house. The hosts were very nice. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was quite large and the shower was amazing. We did not pay for breakfast, but there was water and juice in our fridge, a nice selection of hot drinks and cakes in our room. The host gave us a map and explained what to visit at this time of a year (we were in December).
San Nicola Guest House offers everything and more that just a B&B. Place is immaculate, really clean, safe and family owned. Hilde and her son are just the greatest persons and great hosts. we stayed in the blue room and is very comfortable, spacious. 5 min walk to bus station and the Monte Solaro chairlift (must do!), great bars, restaurants and sights, all walking distance!. Thank you Hilde for such a wonderful time!
The hosts are very friendly, they welcomed us and had great suggestions for visits. The location is great, Anacapri is very lovely and away from the crowds of Capri. There are many things to visit from Anacapri (Blue Grotto and its surroundings, great walks, Monte Solaro) and you can easily get to Capri by bus (although we recommend taking it outside of peak hours since busses are tiny and very crowded!). They don't make breakfast but you get something to eat and to make coffee/tea inside the room which is enough to start the day. The room was very nice and clean, big bathroom, plenty of space.
The San Nicola Guest House is not easy to find. Once you do find it, though, you are welcomed by the sweetest lady, and are offered a glass of juice, or two, before you are let in to your spacious, bright and perfectly clean room. The guest house does not offer breakfast. They do provide, however, some bread and cakes in plastic packing, juice and water, and coffee and tea for you to make yourself with the water boiler. The guest house is in the heart of Anacapri, maybe 300 m from the bus station. Make sure you do not bring heavy luggage that you cannot roll – it is not possible to drive any closer than the bus station, also not if you take a taxi. The bathroom is beyond expectation; modern, bright and perfectly clean. There is a patio that you may use. Wi-Fi was OK, with acceptable download speed. However, upload speed (e.g. for uploading photos to Dropbox) could definitely be improved. The guest house is in perfect condition, perfectly maintained, perfectly cleaned. The owner is the sweetest lady you can imagine. The only downside is that the beds are to firm to our taste – and 50-year old bodies.…
I just wanted to send a note to express huge thanks to everyone at San Nicola. We have had such a lovely time and the proprietors were nothing but helpful and most willing to assist in any manner. I can't recommend this place enough - to anyone. Whilst the guesthouse is small, the rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. We had a suite with 2 TV's 2 beds, en-suite and a fridge. It was quiet, bright and comfortable. We did some washing and could go to the roof to hang the clothes - which dried in the sun in a couple of hours. The level of service is exceptional. It also has good Wi-Fi. All in all 10/10. Anacapri itself is quiet, though with plenty of places to eat and a small market to buy incidentals. I'd like to recommend the hike upto the top of the cable car - it's not hard and offers spectacular views - a couple of which I have included. Once at the top you can also visit a small church and a large cross on the hill tops. All worthwhile. Would I recommend San Nicola to family and friends? Absolutely 100% without doubt. Visit it...…
Gorgeous guest house in Anacapri. Allesandro and Hilda were the perfect hosts. Our flight was delayed meaning we arrived late to the island, but they were incredibly welcoming. They greeted us like old friends, pouring us drinks while they talked us through all their recommendations of the island. We had very little knowledge of Capri so their advice provided the basis of our 48 hours in Capri, and we were not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they even emailed one of their friends whose restaurants we were heading to to give him the heads up that some "VIPs" were on their way. The room was bright and spacious, with a lovely bathroom. In lieu of breakfast Hilda provides a basket of treats and free water and juice in the fridge. The guest house is tucked out of the way meaning it is nice and quiet, but only minutes from the beautiful streets of Anacapri lined with colourful shops and restaurants. Anacapri itself was very easy to reach on the bus from Capri and incredibly beautiful. The guest house is no more than a 5 minute walk from the bottom of Monte Solaro and bus stops taking you to Capri, the Blue Grotto or Faro.…
Tucked away in Piazza San Nicola, this impeccably clean, sweet, three room hotel is run by a lovely family who makes you feel right at home. The room is well-equipped and updated with colorful local tile floors, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, and small refrigerator. Kindly the owners have provided a basket with coffee, tea, and some wrapped croissants for the morning. Refrigerator hold some juice and water that is generously replenished daily. Location is wonderful near the San Nicola church as well as cafes, restaurants and shopping. I would gladly return to this very fine hotel anytime I return to Capri. We have stayed in Capri at many lovely villas and I am just as happy staying right here.
Last week I was a guest at the Capri-Hollywood movie festival and I had the pleasure to rent a house from Caprimyhouse which was much better than I expected;wonderful quiet location with a beautiful courtyard … very romantic and also suited for families with children.Try and you won't regret it!
