We stayed here on our honeymoon. It is so beautiful and quaint, and a hidden gem. It is nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of Capri but easy to get to Capri by bus if you’d like. The breakfast here was amazing and the pool was clean and great too. The sunset views and views of the ocean are incredible too. Would definitely stay here again. The staff are so sweet too!

This place is a true gem! Located after the last bus stop on Anacapri, in rural surroundings, it offers serene ambience within well-tended vegitation, a swimming pool, tasteful decoration, wonderful view, comfortable rooms, and a rich breakfast - all for a very reasonable price, a rare find in Capri! All the staff were so nice and helpful with every little thing. The bus stop is several hundred meters away, from where you can easily get to Capri town or the port. The sights of Anacapri thenselves are within walking distance. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

Everything was great, since the very first moment.. the hotel contacted us few days before our arrive to offer us the transfer from the Marina Grande to the hotel. Comunication was very kind and helpful, also through the whatsup platform.. when we came to hotel in the morning, we was able to use All of hotel servise and facilities, the personal was very kind and warm to make us feel Like at home. They never told ne “no”, even After midnight when I wanted to drink cocktail and barman was off, Mr. From the reception mixed the cocktails for us :)) with the smile on His face. I loved It! The room as well as the pool and the rest of the hotel was clean. Even though we stayed only two nights, the room was cleaned everyday. On the day of our departure we could stay After checkout and enjoy the pool and the other facilities of the hotel and we used the transfer to ferry (free of charge). We loved Il Girasole so much....We wanted to stay away from the crowds in Capri and are so happy. The hotel was perfect as was the pool the breakfast and can we talk about the view.....They pick you up and drop you off at the ferry and helped us book all our dinner reservations and the best private boat ride. WE highly recommend this hotel....

We had the best stay in this hotel, the staff are lovely and go above and beyond. The rooms are basic but have panaramic views as soon as you step out your door. The pool area, is spotless, and the ideal place to relax with a drink or two. The location is fantastic as only a short walk into Annacapri which has an abundance of restaurants to choose from for any budget. Travelling around the island is very easy, as there are lots of buses running from Annacapri and getting to the port is catered for by the hotel shuttle.

This place was great - full stop. It served our purpose, which was seeing Capri without spending a fortune, after a week on the Amalfi Coast. Of course Anacapri is generally the way to do that VS Capri proper. But this family owned hotel is doing it right. Our room, although small was quite nice, no concerns for a 2-night stay. The grounds were very nice and the view from the terrace and pool were spectacular. The location is perfect for walking into Anacapri, or the bus to Capri and the port. The hotel valet was waiting for us at the marina when we arrived by boat. We were lucky to be the only ones arriving at that time or the ride up the island may have been more cramped, but hey, the vehicles there need to fit on roads the width of sidewalks so travelers need to get over it. Very pleasant staff overall. One front desk person was a bit short and cold, perhaps a bad day. Whatever. Pool bar attendant was very accommodating, as was the breakfast staff. Breakfast wasn't remarkable but was just fine for 2 days. We will say it's time to refresh the pool deck experience. Current photos show a lovely tiled terrace, which is no longer the case. The pool terrace is now artificial turf. Perhaps the previous tiling was deteriorating but fake grass was not the right fix for such a nice space. Likely more cost effective but a blight on a very lovely setting, which is a shame. It's also time to make a trip to IKEA to replace the complimentary pool towels. Yes, it's pretty obvious where they are from as well as the shelving behind the pool bar. No shame there (it's a family owned small hotel) but keep those things refreshed. That's the bonus of cheap linens (replace often) or buy more expensive - coin toss.…

So let me start off with the only positive of this hotel, the view. It truly is amazing. It’s lovely to sit on the terrace and see the sunset, however it was very cold (October) when we went so we didn’t do this much. Now for the negatives. We pre-booked our shuttle from the marina to the hotel as we knew our arrival time into Capri. However, we arrive in the marina to no shuttle. We then ring and are told we have to wait 25 minutes in the marina for the shuttle to arrive. Not a great start after a long journey but we move on. Next up we met the first of the staff, not sure of his name as he didn’t even say hello, he just picked our bags up and opened the door. They aren’t the friendliest bunch to say the least. We then get to the hotel after a 20 minute journey (this does save you money as the taxis to and from Anacapri are extortionate). We are then met by the next member of staff who has about as much enthusiasm as Stanley Hudson (see the American office). It really did feel like she had explained to nearest tourist attractions 30,000 times and she hated retelling them. The room wasn’t as advertised on the pictures. It was small and although we had a sea view, it was not the size of the window in the picture nor was the bed facing the window which obviously makes a huge difference if you’re facing the wall as opposed to the sea. The walls are paper thin so much so you can literally hear everything and I mean everything other guests are doing. We had to complain several times about our neighbours being extremely noisy and were happy that they were not next to a family. There is something definitely wrong with the drains as after a few flushes of the toilet a weird odour comes into the room. The breakfast buffet is ok, you can’t serve yourself (assuming due to covid) but you can go up as many times as you like although they aren’t very forthcoming with portions. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, there are definitely better places to stay, it is far away from Capri, the staff are not friendly at all and the rooms are small with very thin walls.…

Greetings! Thanks for the review. I'll try to be brief. Shuttle service: I send to every new booking an email about how to book the shuttle, easy to follow. One day before, let us know the time and port of DEPARTURE. This is because each boat, ship or hydrofoil has a different journey time and a different arrival pier. They never respect the minutes of travel written on the ticket. If you send me your arrival time a week before yor arrival, I don't know where and witch ship to wait. Unfortunately we cannot wait too long at the port for police instructions (small and super crowded port). As for the staff, everyone writes that we are warm and kind, maybe it was a bad day, I apologize on behalf of everyone. For the room: if you come to the reception we will try to solve the problem, if you write on tripadvisor it is useless. PS: I love Stanley Hudson :) best meme base. Francesco Orlando

We fully recommend the Hotel Girasol for stays in Capri / Anacapri. It is a very comfortable, safe hotel, with a swimming pool and the best sunsets on the island !! (Much better than some rooftops we visited on the island) The location of the hotel is very good as it is a few meters from the bus stop, making it easy and cheap to get to and from the hotel. The room that my husband and I stayed in was quite spacious, with air conditioning and two bathrooms. All very comfortable and clean! There is a mini bar and there is also a snack and cocktail service. Excellent attention from Angela and Francisco, always willing and friendly. They gave us great help during our stay. Besides, I forgot my wallet in the Hotel and they were so kind to send us on a ferry to Napoli. Amazing !! Delicious breakfast (our favorites were the croissants :)). 100% recommended! ——- Recomendamos totalmente el hotel girasol para estadías en Capri/Anacapri. Es un hotel muy cómodo, seguro, con piscina y los mejores atardeceres de la isla!! (Mucho mejor que en algunos rooftops que visitamos en la isla) La ubicación del hotel es muy buena ya que esta a unos cuantos metro de la parada de bus, por lo que es fácil y económico movilizarse desde y hacia el hotel. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel a lot. First of all, the hotel offers a free shuttle from the harbor to the hotel - super convenient! Once you get off the ferry the last thing you want to do is stand in a queue for the taxi or the funicular. Dominic from the hotel picked us up and he was also the one to drive us back to the harbor when we had to leave. He was so nice and helpful - also giving us some tips when moving around the island. The hotel in located a 10 min walk from the centre of Anacapri. We enjoyed this location a lot because it's more laid back than Capri and the sunset from the rooftop pool/bar area is so gorgeous. Faro beach is closeby - we walked there one day (30min?) and took the bus back in the evening (10min). Before we came, we read some reviews of the rooms being outdated in style but when we were there we actually liked that our room had an authentic atmosphere (with tiled floors). We only wish we could have enjoyed the sunsets by the pool/bar area more (we mostly got back to the hotel too late). We were super happy with our stay! Thank you!…

What a nice place to stay. Mario welcomed us at the port and took us to the hotel with the free shuttle. Rooftop has a nice pool with a bar and seats to an incredible sunset. The hotel is located close to the center of Anacapri and bus station. Rooms are not super new, but big and very clean. On check out they offered to keep our luggage and take for us at the the port by the end of the day. The staff is so welcoming and helpful. Definitely recommended!
