What a fantastically beautiful place to stay and coupled with the wonderful hosts Tam and Charles we had the most magical weekend away - didn't want it to end. Thanks so much for the lovely time and we will see you again soon. Loved the bush walks, swims and glow worm spotting!

Beautiful lodge in the middle of nature. Comfortable lodge rooms, great views, great for relaxing, and a little adventure. It feels completely remote but in the area there is a lot to do. Lovely owners with good tips for making the coromandel unforgettable.

We stayed at Wairua Lodge in early December and were lucky enough to have most of the place to ourselves. Although we only stayed for one night, there was plenty to keep us entertained - little tramps (and big ones too) up the hill, river crossings, and swimming holes (bring your togs!). Our highlight of the trip, however, was unwinding...

We had 2 nights here and wished our itinerary allowed us more time. This amazing little lodge is 15 minutes out of town and set in the rainforest. Hosts Charles and Tam welcomed us and made us feel at home straight away. The units are self catered with continental breakfast supplied in your room, with cutlery, kettle and toaster. A...

As soon as we realized no TV and no mobile phones - except in emergency - our minds were made up. The bush (and the birds), the exciting entrance by way of a ford over the river, swimming holes, self catering - it's as good as you can get. The helpful and entertaining hosts complete the package. We are going...

This place is 15 min from the beach and is situated in the start of the rainforest in NZ. When we arrived we got a very warm welcome. The owners really wanted us to feel at home. We had the family cabin that was really spacious, with own kitchen and barbecue area. Everything felt modern and had good standard. We...

This was one of the best stays we enjoyed during our three month tour of New Zealand. As it was our last stop before heading to Auckland to fly out, we wanted a special place. When you enter River Deck, the soft and subtle scent of the native wood interior welcomes you in. The apartment itself is spacious and well...
