The bush walks are just amazing and the swimming holes are a perfect way to finish the walks. You can tell the hosts are passionate about what they...

A truly unique and wonderful experience with beautiful surroundings. As you drive into the lodge, you feel like you are entering a different world. We had breakfast in the yard, with a great view of the valley. For dinner, we brought in foods for a BBQ just outside our lodge. Charles and Tam were very warm hosts. Overall, a very...

We thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and its bush and river setting. Tam and Charles took time to introduce the local Morporks in the evening - awesome. We had everything we needed, pretty simple cooking facilities based on BBQ for the studios on which we did a cooked breakfast, and it worked well for chilling out. Time at the bath house...

Lovely secluded area with amazingly helpful and friendly owners. Has really nice bush walks and many adventures close by. I'd recommend taking some time to use the bath overlooking the stream too! Highly recommended!

Anyone can stay in a motel in the middle of a town or city, its quite something else to stay in the middle of beautiful bush with a river and waterfalls and a bath in the treetops! It is only a 12km drive from Whitianga and well worth the effort if you want peace, tranquility, nature, friendly but not pushy...

Lovely place to stay for couples wanting to escape to the peace and quiet but still close to town and other attractions on the Coromandel. The hosts were delightful and very knowledgeable on the area and were happy to make suggestions as to where to go and what to see. Very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would definitely come again!

We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Tam and Charles are the perfect hosts. One evening Charles showed us one of the resident moreporks, a NZ native owl. There is an outside secluded bath with wonderful bush views, and also a spa for guests. We were upgraded to the River Deck Suite (thanks); every window view is...
