The room was a good size and very clean. The tv gets only 4 channels but we only sleep in a room. It took us 35 minutes to walk back from town. The bathroom was nice, shower only. I would love to stay again. The hotel does arrange package deals with tours. We did a tour package that was perfectly...

Located just a few minutes' drive from the town centre in a lovely garden setting There was a mix up with our booking and they had us in a room with one bed instead of two, however this was sorted out. The room was very clean with nice beds and linen. Free breakfast was basic, but adequate. Staff were friendly.

I stayed here with my family 4 nights in december and we had a great time. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and super nice and serviceminded straff. For us it was the perfect location, quiet but just a short walk to the beach. It is a family owned hotel and we highly appriciated the personalized reception. You feel like home here....

We booked a suite which came with a small kitchen and two beds. Beds were kind of soft/uncomfortable but did the job. Internet was horribly slow, but I guess it's expected in such a small town. We had to kill about 4 bugs (3 small flies, 1 mosquito) flying around our room/bathroom. There were random $50 surcharges if you messed...

Loved staying at this hotel, the rooms were HUGE, and they had a full kitchen as well, which helped with the costs of eating out. The staff was friendly during the check-in process and was able to give you information about the area, directions and was even able to give me tide information. As for the room itself, the only...

Room was comfortable, so was the bed! Breakfast totally mediocre - lousy bread, no cheese, cold cuts or eggs - not worth the $15 price. Better to go to town. The shower head is the cheapest piece of junk, provides a paltry spurt. The manager is Korean, nice guy, but barely speaks English. Parking very awkward. The place needs some...

stayed there on family holiday, part of a 3 week tour of NZ, these were the worst beds out of 22 nights in NZ. Accommodation was modest and needs a little TLC, could be a great motel. Beaut quiet location and owners were very accommodating.

Nice location, off the beach. Nice layout of the accommodation and conference facilities. Family running the Lodge were lovely, I think they are fairly new to this accommodation. The beds in the rooms had no consistency - I had a conversation at breakfast with a conference colleague (we were both bemoaning the beds). I thought she must have had the...

Had a 2 bedroom family unit. Everything clean but older style. However the beds were TERRIBLE!! Ended up being seasick all night on a bed that bent like a banana. Also a bit out of town. Out of all the prebooked accomodation we stayed at it was the worst. All you want is a good bed to have a good...

I ran a weekend conference here for about 45 people. Attendees stayed at the Lodge with the overflow at local B&B, motel and Backpackers. The conference venue is under new management and they were very helpful and friendly. The conference room can seat about 45 people. We used a local caterer from Jandals Cafe, who provided an excellent meal Saturday...
