Many will argue but this establishment is a clear favourite for locals and visitors. They serve good pub food and have a great selection of beverages to choose from. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We went back three times for dinner and wasn't disappointed at all. This is the place to be at night for the entertainment and...

Came here for a birthday, and had an awesome time, food was good and all for a low price. Had the ribs and chips, and I would recommend it. Food was nice and hot and did not have to wait for to long. Staff cleaned up fairy quick after we had finished, great job guys.

Saturday night, the place was half full at best, yet we and others had to wait an hour for food, and it wasn't worth the hours wait. The place itself is OK, staff friendly enough, if owever they had told us when ordering there was an hours wait we would have gone elsewhere, but they never!

This appears to be a favourite with locals and visitors alike in Whitianga. Good sized bar with pool tables, pub quizzes and live music. Well run it provides good pub grub, reasonably priced. Worth a visit for a drink or a meal in this atmospheric village hub.

A great hotel to take the whole family to for dinner in lovely surroundings. An old building with a lot of history and character well renovated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Saturday night live music was a blast.

Ate at the Whitianga Hotel on one night during our recent visit. The pub was noisy, filled with locals, the beer was cold, the food was good, the canned music played, the bench tables rocked a little, the atmosphere was good...all in all a typical night at a typical pub....LOVED IT

Mixed feelings about this place. Menu looked good and you have to order at the bar. Not very efficient service with a queue of people and only one person taking orders. The service wasn't overly professional. There were 3 of us and the first two meals came out at least 10mins apart. The third meal had to be followed up...

After a morning on a boat trip I was ready for food! The chicken and bacon salad was very tasty, good size portion, friendly staff. My table was a bit rocky - my fault I'd moved it into the sun, the waitress realised and quickly replaced the wedge.

Attempted to have dinner at the hotel last night all set to order then told they had no gluten free pizza bases. Following this they had no chicken. Advised they could do a steak sandwich only to be told by the chef he is not willing to do it. I was then offered fish and salad as it doesn't require...

Went for dinner at this hotel for the first time in years, my has it changed, it is a well laid out area with inside being along the line of a traditional pub and the outdoor area set up for food and entertainment. The food selection here was excellent and at a good price, with a menu to cater for...
