Wonderful experience visiting this historic hotel. Our room was clean, of adequate size, bed was comfortable. The Zulu Bar offered a lovely river view; the staff were friendly and service was great. We had a delicious dinner at MacArthur's Restaurant. A complementary room refrigerator would have been nice.

A great piece of history. Excellent location. Dining options excellent. Nice improved valet service. Rooms bigger than I remembered from 1975. I also like the pictures of famous alumni in the hallways. Also apparently rooms dedicated to individuals - although my room was anonymous.

The room was dedicated to the first female general officer in the U.S. Army. Room was neatly arranged with a beautiful view of the Hudson River. Great place to stay with excellent restaurant while visiting historical West Point.

The Thayer is truly a historical hotel, right at the entrance to West Point Military Academy. It's obvious that the rooms were recently renovated---lovely decor, comfortable bed, very nice, large bathroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. MacArthur's Restaurant is excellent---feels like you're dining in a castle, and the food, although a limited menu, was delicious. We stayed in a room...

First I want to say that I love West Point so any chance to stay there is great. The Thayer is historic which means old but is still nice in many ways. The common areas are very nice. They have a great lobby, bar, and many rooms for events with a terrific view of the Hudson River valley. The Restaurant...

The room I got was dedicated to General Pete Dawkins -- an amazing individual. The fact that each room is unique -- in both decorations and room set up -- makes the stay even more interesting. Its a different experience every time.

Visiting West Point Museum the staff recommended that I stay at The Thayer. What a great place. The history was awe inspiring and rooms were very comfortable and clean. Dinner in George Patton Tavern was extra special in that there were many alumni there with great stories. Enjoyed my overnight throughly. Rate was very reasonable . Would highly recommend.

i really enjoyed our stay in the Thayer hotel. It is beautifully located on the campus of West Point, on the Hudson River. Our room had a river view which was stupendous. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and all seem to be handicap accessible. The food at the hotel is prepared by graduates of the Culinary Institute of America and...

Hotel is nothing special except that it I s inside the West Point campus gate. Had the breakfast buffet which was unremarkable and thought the fresh fruit tasted musty. Had drinks and light meals at McArthers which were good.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful, with a wonderful view of the Hudson River. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, which one would expect from this self-proclaimed 5 star hotel. However, where this hotel disappointed was in the areas one would not expect a high caliber hotel to disappoint....
