We stayed at this B&B last week. The property is located right on the marina . The common rooms were large and well appointed. Our room had two queen beds and was large and had its own deck with a view of the marsh. Everything in the room was first class. Cristy helped us with everything throughout our stay and...

We went here on a LivingSocial coupon, and I am glad we did - I think that full price here is a bit over the top. The rooms (we did not stay in a suite) are nice, a bit spare but comfy and clean. The public areas are very comfy, with both screened porch and outdoor porch as well as...

It's hard to know where to begin to do justice to the experience of a Marsh Harbour Inn stay, From first glimpse of the welcoming front porch to the "oohs and ahs" evoked by the sight of our beautifully appointed room (understated elegance at its best), no detail has been overlooked in creating an ambiance of serenity and relaxation. Behind...

My hubby, 3 kids and I took our first boat ride to Bald Head Island (BHI) this past weekend, for a day trip…or so we thought. We docked our boat at the marina for the day, picked up a golf cart (remember to call ahead a day or so to reserve a slip and a golf cart-someone was turned away...

Absolutely perfect in every way...accommodations, location on the island, views, wonderful staff, fresh breakfast. We will return again and again. The island is an amazing sanctuary for wildlife, the beaches are perfect, the forest enchanting - we love everything about the island and the Marsh Harbour Inn! Thank you Kathy and Jo! You are the best!

What a lovely inn! We stayed two nights and on the way back we were already planning our next trip. Kathy is incredible, helpful, and very knowledgeable of the area. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

The Marsh Harbour is a wonderful place for your first time to BHI or fifteenth! My wife and I used a Groupon to stay a couple nights during the week. As soon as we arrived the manager Kathy welcomed us with open arms, offered to carry our bags upstairs to the gorgeous room 6 and even allowed us to store...

To say the Marsh Harbour Inn exceeded our expectations is an understatement! We arrived on the island on a Sunday around 9:00pm. Apparently, on Sundays most restaurants close around 9:00pm. We were starved when we arrived to the Marsh Harbour Inn and feared that we would have to go to bed without food. Then Jo, the innkeeper, came to our...

This was our 1st time to bhi and the marsh harbor inn. The MHI was such a nice place to stay. Convenient to the ferry and dining places. Our room, 8, was very comfortable with a balcony over looking the marina. The staff were friendly, especially jo and Emily. We'd go back. The island is tropical. Ferry is fun.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
You wake up in the morning...and step onto your private deck where sailboats rock gently in the marina. Beyond, you see a wide stretch of blue ocean, and to the side a creek winding through serene marshland. Surrounding the harbour are homes, both quaint and majestic—a scene that has inspired this place to be called "the Nantucket of the South." The Marsh Harbour is a boutique Inn, reminiscent of a grand coastal manor estate, overlooking the Harbour on Bald Head Island. Accommodations include nine rooms and four spectacular suites. A breakfast buffet is served daily in the dining room and a wine and cheese reception is hosted on the weekends. Enjoy sweeping views of the Marina, Atlantic Ocean and the marshes from every room. Golf cart (the only island transportation), breakfast, daily housekeeping is included in your rate. We are the only hotel facility on Bald Head Island. Suites are also available for fractional purchase, offering 4 weeks per year usage. ... more   less
