I had a business meeting at this hotel so we stayed here for the two nights of the conference. We stayed in the annex in a king with a TV. The attached bath was larger than the one we had last year. I like the extra touches of unlimited complementary bottled water and a continental breakfast with freshly baked scones...

My boyfriend booked this place without my input, and my first impulse was to check the TA reviews to see if it was haunted. I do not sleep well in old hotels or hotels that have a reputation for being haunted so I was dismayed to find a couple of reviews with supernatural experiences. When we arrived I brought this...

Stayed here during marathon weekend. Extremely convenient to the lake and everything you need in downtown. Due to bedding needs we stayed in the historic building which was lovely but I do hope to stay in the new building sometime. The restaurant was good again this year, actually better than previous years! Great food and wine list and superb friendly...

Stayed for 1 night in a Lodge room. It is very basic but clean with a large flat screen and good WiFi. Other rooms in the main building are nicer but do not have TV. They have a bar area, an outside area, a good size lobby area and a restaurant with very good food. Breakfast is a very basic...

Our second visit here, and we loved it more than the first! The staff is awesome. Best part is dining in courtyard. Chef's selections are scrumptious. Plan to return in the spring. The only thing missing was no luggage rack or stool/chair to put suitcase on in room. Bed was very comfy. Wonderful atmosphere n

We stayed one night at the Monte Vista and really enjoyed it. The building has lots of charm and the rooms were spacious and warm. We had a corner room that faced the road that got lots of morning sun. The property is within walking distance of most that Black Mountain has to offer, so you won't need your car...

Wonderful old hotel only a 2 short blocks from the first of many restaurants and the assortment of specialty shops / art galleries. Great location. Those that greeted us could not have been nicer, even allowing us to look at a couple rooms to make sure we had the room we wanted. We chose one of the newer rooms (as...

Third floor, corner room facing West State Street. Sunny and bright. Boy are those trains loud at night though! Couple of hundred yards across the street to the tracks. Wonderful old hotel (Dating to 1937). Great staff. Lovely lobby and sitting area. Comfy bar with TV and good wine. Nice breakfast. Clean room. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was roomy but...

We booked New Year's Eve, 2016, so that we could enjoy dinner in Asheville, then have a hotel close by to avoid driving late-night. The check-in was pleasant, room was ready as promised, the overall ambience of the lobby and restaurant was nice. The room was sparse...not a single painting on the walls....bed was too high, and no chair or...

What a pleasant surprise! We stumbled upon this hotel somewhat last minute and booked it for two nights at fair rate especially during the holiday season. Our vacation was planned primarily around visiting Asheville but with an easy 20 minute drive into town this is an adorable town that shouldn't be overlooked. Upon our arrival we were pleased to see...
