We stayed at the Inn right after a big snowfall. The area was beautiful and we could get around safely by foot and car. Our hotel room was quaint and cozy and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We can definitely recommend the hotel restaurant....More

nice historic inn. nice to stay in places with history. very comfortable, great service, friendly staff. convenient to Blowing Rock and area attractions, mountains. hotel has overview of history of the hotel. visitors have included Henry Fonda, Annie Oakley, and Marilyn Monroe.

Pet friendly....but rules were not enforced when we stayed. Dogs (large) were barking at night and loitering in lobby and hallways most of the evening. I don't mind dogs, if they are quiet and not noticeable.

There are golf courses nearby. The only public course is Boone Golf Club. We also have an arrangement with Linville Land Harbor to allow our guests to play on their course. However, we have just been in touch with both, and neither have opened for the season yet. They suggested trying to find golf courses in Lenoir at this time of year.
