Very steep descents to your campsite. Bring leveling blocks you will need them. Road at bottom incline will wash out during heavy rains. Laundry only has four washers and two dryers. For a campground this size they need more. Gravel roads. Small sites. No cable hookup. It's ok for a one night stay. Nothing special to right home about.

We really enjoyed tent camping here. It's not the wilderness, but it has tons of ammenities like putt putt, animals to feed, and a playground and pool. Bathrooms were very clean and there were no bugs. I'm sure my kids will beg to come back! The best part was the weather: cool and breezy and 20 degrees cooler than Greensboro!

This was our first time camping at the Boone KOA. We were greeted with very friendly staff on arrival. The campground sites were slightly tighter than some of the other campgrounds we have visited as the majority of these sites are located on the hillside. Smaller campers have little issue As my 30' tag along was slightly challenging to get...

We stayed here during our visit to Boone, and I am glad we did. So far, this is the nicest cleanest campground we have stayed at in the area. The staff were friendly and courteous. The grounds were clean and in good condition, as were the pool and playground equipment. We enjoyed our stay and will return. Our site was...

This KOA is located in Boone which is a great home base for the High Country. The KOA was well maintained although older. There is no air conditioning in the bathrooms or office as the normal temp in the area is 73 degrees. The staff here is very helpful and always smiling!! The sites are typical for KOA and unfortunately...

My family stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely PERFECT!! All of the staff are very nice and helpful and a true pleasure to be around. My girls (5 & 2) waited every morning for the camp store door to be open, they loved visiting with all of the staff, and the staff treated them like family. We...

We've been to a number of KOA's, this one is on the "average" level. The swimming pool was nice, ranges from 3' to 4-6' deep so no danger for the kids. The playground consists of swings, a small slide, two old teeter totters, and a merry-go-round. Also there is an older faux grass mini golf course. The bathrooms were not...

Had a nice quiet stay. Asked for a site that was private and shady, they said no problem, we got there and it really was not private, they moved us no problem. The sites are on a slant a lot of them so it is a bit difficult for leveling. I had no problem at all. The campground was super...

We left Nags Head after one night because of the heat and blowing sand. We drove all the way to the KOA that next day and arrived at 11:30 pm. The pull thru site was a welcome site since it was dark and late. We woke to a beautiful shaded campground and really nice people. There was a big family...

Just returned from our first family camping trip in our "new to us" pop up camper. I did enjoy the campground and the amenities. Everything was clean and in working order. I didn't have a problem with any of them and they people were friendly and helpful. The things that I didn't like was the size of the sites....they had...
