This place has existed in Buxton for generations - my parents used to stay here when it was called Hodges back in the day. Many of the rooms have cozy and convenient screened in front porches. The efficiency units are great for a couple staying for a long weekend, looking to save some money by cooking their catch. The decor...

It is close to several eating places and has some nice places to see the sunset. You can get up early and enjoy the sunrise right outside your door. We got to watch some fishermen catch a large fish from the shore and show it off. Room was nice and beds were comfortable. I definitely would stay here again.

I've been visiting the OBX since the early 70's, back when it was considerably less populated. :) Buxton Beach Motel is a reminder of how the Outer Banks used to be years ago. Simple, clean, low-key, relaxed. David, the owner, is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Every time I visit (which sometimes has been nearly every other weekend during the Summer...

This motel has a great location, near a surfing beach (a few minutes' walk down Ocean Drive), a short drive to the Cape Hatteras LIghthouse, and near Frisco. It is clean, basic, and having a front porch was wonderful. I loved the outdoor shower for rinsing off sand and my surfboard. I loved being able to have my two dogs...

Once I found this place I knew where I wanted to stay on our frequent visits to Hatteras. The rooms are cozy and I love the outdoor shower. Even though you have a shower in your room. I prefer the outside one. Epic! Dog friendly is the best part. The stray cats that walk around the property drive my dogs...

What a sweet, little place the Buxton Beach Motel is. Walking distance to the beach and a very quiet location. We had an efficiency room and it was very clean and practical. The owners are lovely people and very friendly. Very good value for money. We booked for a couple of days and stayed for 5!! We've been travelling for...

This is our 3rd time here, and we have not been disappointed. The units all have their own identity, and we have stayed in several different ones. Don't expect the Ritz, but enjoy the atmosphere. It is close to the beach, pet friendly, and the owners are awesome. If you want to go to the beach with your family, and...

Every July we stay at the Buxton Beach Motel. The duplex we stay in, is clean and comfortable. It has a screened in porch and you step into the living room with a couch and another small couch and a chair. There is a large round dining room table off the full kitchen. There are two bedrooms both with double...

I almost hesitate to write, as I feel we will lose our chances for rebooking next year. We are going to B.B. Motel for the 4th time. It's just myself, my husband and our Golden Retriever. We never wanted to rent a huge house, where the only way to be cost affected is to share with others. This motel allows...
