all the rooms are named after hurricanes, and we stayed in Charlie room which was very pleasant and comfortable. The only inconvenience was having to go outside to go to the reception area and the upstairs living room and breakfast area. however, this was only an inconvenience because of the rain and wind. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely living... More

This is the gold standard for a B&B in the Cape Hatteras area. The rooms are gorgeous, the beds are VERY comfortable, and the common rooms are bright and airy. The breakfasts are wonderful: e.g. I had a quiche that was one of the best I've eaten outside of Montreal. This is a VERY well-run establishment. I will definitely endeavour... More

We stayed in the Gloria room. Very clean and comfortable. The paint looked fresh and crisp. The bathroom, although small, was very nice with a beautiful shower. A shelf for putting our toiletries, etc would have been helpful. A flat panel TV was on the wall. A ceiling fan was nice. The bed was very soft and had a very... More

From check-in to check-out this was a very pleasant experience. Virginia is awesome - she knows what customer service is all about - and she can cook! The breakfast was AWESOME. The room was very clean; bed was very comfortable; towels were as good as new. The little touches - bicycles, made for a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the Emily room. It is one of the best places in Buxton. You can walk to the beach and to the lighthouse. Virginia makes the best breakfasts. Rooms are clean and comfortably decorated, but the best is the sunroom!

Miss Virginia professionally operates this newly renovated B&B in Buxton on the southern part of the OBX. FYI the southern end is more secluded and less populated that the north end making it my preference for our stay on OBX. And the middle, Nags Head & Kill Devil HIill is where most of the population, motel chains and stores are... More

Hospitality was top-notch, breakfast was savory and with great presentation. My favorite area was the spacious sun room where we spent much time reading and relaxing. Though the trip down to the outer banks was a little slow-going, definitely worth it. Great bed and breakfast!

We stayed for 2 nights in the GLORIA room. A very comfortable king sized bed with a nice cheerful beachy feel. There was a large shower and a little sitting area with an ice bucket and wine glasses. Virginia and her co worker sure know how to cook breakfast. The guests can choose each night what they would like for... More

Enjoyed the nice walk to the beach. Has everything one could need for a beach getaway. Very nice staff to greet you and tend to every need. Highly recommended. Looking forward to a great breakfast after reading the menu. Hugo room gives a beach feel. Nice amenities in room. The view of the sunrise and sunset on the upstairs deck.... More

We were very pleased with our stay here. Our room was on the first floor at the end, "Hugo", with off-street parking outside our room. All the rooms exit to the outside which is great if you're leaving early for sunrise photography or coming back late. It's just a short walk to the ocean and a 10-15 minute walk to... More
