To start, valet was hard to find. (Go down 6th St for valet). The hotel was very nice. From the time we (finally) arrived, everyone was wonderful. We valet, and once we got upstairs to check in the front desk people super nice. I then realized I left my phone in my car. As I turned around to go get...

I normally stay at The OMNI in Charlotte but couldn't get in and ended up staying at The Dunhill. This was a truly pleasant experience. The hotel had a 4-poster bed and very comfortable room. Breakfast was included and not just the average continental breakfast. Checking was easy and friendly. Love the historic and home feel of the hotel.

Had a mini family reunion in Charlotte, NC. Since my relatives were staying at this hotel, I chose to also. I don't often stay downtown when I travel, so for me, the price was a bit high. It probably was reasonable for a downtown hotel. It was a really quaint hotel on the corner of Tryon St. It was easily...

We had never stayed at The Dunhill before this trip to Charlotte. We found the room cozy but clean with modern amenities. Check-in was easy and quick, and the downtown location was absolutely the best! We had a pull-out love seat for our teen daughter which was very nice. The queen bed was very comfy.

This is an old historic hotel, so I expected it to be somewhat dark in the interior, which it was. The location is ideal to walk to all tourist locations in up-town, plus most of the restaurants. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was only okay, but part of the package. The room was compact and a little tired. The sad...

This wonderful old hotel is handsomely appointed, yet reasonably priced. The two fluffy clouds that hovered in room our proved to be as comfortable as they looked. Spa robes and high quality toiletries were very nice touches. We woke well rested and refreshed, just in time for the complimentary breakfast. The buffet featured both scrambled and hardboiled eggs, hot and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Decades before The Dunhill Hotel would open, local architect Louis Asbury Sr. was entranced by the great Italian craftsmen who created cathedrals famous for their soaring, elegant roof lines. Today, The Dunhill Hotel stands distinct on the Charlotte skyline, an amalgam of American, British, and Italian influences, something those with an eye for period detail can detect. Opened in 1929 as the Mayfair Manor apartment hotel, with half of its original 100 rooms permanent residences, today's Dunhill Hotel is a thoughtful evolution. A full restoration was recently completed, and various on-going aesthetic improvements all share a common goal--to celebrate the original vision of Mr. Asbury, with a nod to the needs of the modern traveler. ... more   less
