When you enter this hotel you are greeted by very friendly people. Teddy in particular is a very nice person who welcomes people with much enthusiasm and is always willing to lend a helping hand. My church is held in one of the conference rooms on Sunday mornings, and when I see him in the morning, I can always count...

We have stayed here on several occasions for VA appointments and were very surprised at how nice and clean this hotel is. Great check in experience elegant look in lobby. Rooms spacious enough and loved the beds. Alittle outdated but very sound structure. Nice center area with plastic lounge chairs also nice patio area with umbrellas for sitting out and...

First, the good: as other reviewers have noted, the Millennium staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And the location is very central to Durham and convenient to Duke. I can only assume that these are the reasons this hotel is still in business, because I can't think of any others. This hotel is very badly in need of renovation. It's...

This hotel was a perfect place to stay with free shuttle service to Duke hospital and RDU (Teddy was super friendly and helpful). A nice place to relax in Durham. Octavia at the front desk was also extremely helpful in arranging transportation, etc. The Millennium Hotel Durham was by far the best value and experience I've had in my many...

Recently I attended a business meeting at the Millennium Hotel. When we broke for lunch I was not interested in the buffet that was offered, instead preferring something lighter. The selections for snacks were limited so one of their staff (Ratechia Percell) went out of her way to try and accommodate me. She was very friendly, helpful and focused on...

I stayed almost a week and got a good price thru Priceline. I found the hallways in the non-smoking areas reaked off smoke. The back entrance on the first and second floor as well as the elevator need to be vacuumed badly. It never was while we stated there because it had all white stuff all over the area the...

My stay at the millennium Durham was very comfortable and welcoming. My husband had surgery at duke and I needed a place to stay for the duration of his hospitalization . This was an extremely difficult time for me since I was 12,000 miles from home (Hawaii). The staff ( front desk, shuttle drivers, bartenders, waitresses) were so helpful and...

Our room in this non-smoking hotel smelled of smoke. When I called to complain, the engineer came and said, "the lady who stayed in the room before you is a smoker. I guess the smell lingered on her clothes" . Please explain how that is possible, especially since the room would have been cleaned between guests. The manager did switch...

I stayed in this hotel for a two-night business trip, thinking it would be convenient to Duke University. This property is very clearly being run into the ground for some reason - perhaps an impending disposal or perhaps a major reconstruction. Furniture in the lobby is literally threadbare, carpets in the hallways look like they've been in place for 30...
