My husband and I took a weekend getaway to Edenton and stayed at Captain's Quarters Inn. We had a really nice time! The home is lovely and it was very neat to stay in a place with so much history. We could not have asked for a more delicious breakfast! It was relaxing and I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Edenton is very special. It has a warm, friendly feeling with many historic buildings and a very inviting main street, lined with restaurants and shops. The Captain's Quarters Inn is situated on a street that seems to have emerged from a time when America was young and innocent and vibrant. Looking out the window from our room, we could see...

I was the only visitor not there for the lovely Dickens Candlelight Christmas weekend. I was welcomed into the fold and made to feel at home and pampered by both the innkeepers and the other guests. There to attend a nearby funeral, I had simply found the Inn on the internet and I will be forever happy that I did....

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of November for one of the "Rib University" Living Social deal classes. When we called to book, we were advised to bring cash to pay for the tax on the room, so that's something to be aware of--it was good that they let us know ahead of time! We were also...

As a business traveler who spends more time living out of hotels than at home, I always have high standards for any hotel stay for pleasure. Edenton's Captain Quarters is at the top of my list of favorite pamper time destinations.  This historic inn offers more than the traditional bed and breakfast to the travel veteran or to anyone looking...

The experiences for this review spans over 4 years, beginning back in 2011 when I purchased a “Living Social” promotion for a 2 night BBQ getaway for $200. I thought this would be a nice idea for our 30th wedding anniversary. When I called to book the weekend, the date that I wanted wasn’t available – fair enough. So, I...

Thank you for your story. First of all that’s not how Living Social works. The first time you called to book the BBQ Class it was past the book by date and there were no available classes. So I told you, as I tell everybody else that you could either use the voucher as a gift certificate or call Living...

I love ribs and was ecstatic when I found this B&B. Edenton is a quaint town with many historic houses. The B&B is located just a few blocks from downtown on Queen Street. Upon arriving the first evening, we were invited to sample 4 bbq sauces with riblets. It was interesting trying to figure out the ingredients and learn more...

We took a two night, mid-week get away to Captain's Quarter's Inn. The first evening our host invited us to taste barbecue sauces with small ribblets while we enjoyed a glass of wine. The next morning we attended a class on how to prepare ribs. Don, the innkeeper, has competed in rib competitions and has the trophies to prove it....

My husband and I enjoyed our second time around staying here even more than the delightful first stay back in 2009. Don & Diane are wonderful hosts with a beautiful inn. Spacious rooms beautifully appointed and amazing food. Top notch service. Can't wait to come back through beautiful Edenton again and Captains Quarters is definitely on our list of repeat...

We attended the Rib University and it was fun and ended up with a great rib dinner. The food here is outstanding and Diane and Don are excellent hosts. They are doing a great job with this B&B. Will be back.
