Our plans changed at the last minute and we found ourselves trying to find a Bed and Breakfast near Asheville for the next day in October. Some how we lucked out and came across Acorn and were so lucky that there was a room. What a find! Inn keeper Gene was the consummate host and an unbelievable chef. Made us... More

Stayed here while on a business trip and loved it! Host was delightful, met us at our car, carried our bags in, and chatted warmly. Breakfast was outstanding--Belgian waffles, fresh fruit smoothie, fresh fruit bowl (7 fruits!), breakfast skewers, pastries.......yummy! The Magnolia Room was an excellent choice. Tastefully decorated, very clean, and full of little surprises, like cookies and chocolates... More

Gene took excellent care of my daughter, my wife and me. We had a downstairs room which allowed us a little private space. We were asked when we wanted breakfast and when we arrived upstairs the next morning..voila! His breakfast smoothies are delicious, the rhubarb jam was kind of addictive, and the breakfast was great as other reviews promised. Gene... More

Comfortable, welcoming, and quiet are the three things that quickly come to mind when thinking of the Acorn BNB. Close to everything, hosts knowledge of the area (dining, places to go, things to do...), and location to all the "sites" ideal. Stayed for 3 nights and we were sorry we had to leave. HIGHLY recommend - not only the bed... More

We love B&Bs, and have been staying at Acorn when we visit the Asheville area for the past ten years or so. Gene and Bob set the standard for all B&Bs, and unfortunately we've yet to find another one to meet that standard. Ultimate cleanliness, hospitality and breakfasts suited for the gods! Nobody does it better!

This B&B is a gem! It's quiet, cozy, and close to Asheville. Gene met us immediately and showed us around. I especially loved the collection of Disney and Broadway memorabilia displayed throughout the house! Everything was clean, ornately decorated, and comfortable, and Gene certainly went out of his way to ensure that my husband and I had everything we needed.... More

My husband and I stayed at the Acorn Bed and Breakfast over the Fourth of July weekend and we could not have been more pleased. The B and B was easy to find but once you got on property you felt like you were in your own little paradise. Gene and Bob (the owners) were kind and gracious throughout the... More

Staying at this bed and breakfast was a nice miniature vacation away from the hassles of every day life. As soon as we pulled into the drive, we were welcomed by name on the chalkboard sign in front. I knew immediately that our stay here was going to be special. The thought that went into the small details that were... More

Secluded yet close to Ashville and surrounding area. Wonderful proprietor who made you comfortable from the moment you arrive without being intrusive. Spacious room with nice amenities, fabulous breakfast every day. You never feel like you are "missing" anything. We would definitely go back.

Acorn B&B is an outstanding gem tucked away just on the outskirts of Asheville, NC. The rooms have lovely decor and each seems to have a theme (We had the garden room). Thoughtful touches including your name on the "Welcome Home" sign just outside the front door and homemade cookies in your room give you the feeling, this place is... More
