These cabins are in a beautiful location and even though there are several units pretty close to each other, we were never disturbed or very aware of our neighbours. It was hot when we were staying and although there is air conditioning downstairs there is none up in the loft and with no fan which cooled the bedroom it was...

we enjoyed our stay very much. we hope to be back again. the cabin was very clean and well kept. we did miss having a toaster for the kids pop tarts and toast. liked the idea of putting all our dirty towels inthe hanging hamper.the loaf could have used a fan for sleeping. but all in all very nice.

Quiet and beautiful inside and out ! We went in early spring so the trees were a little bare of leaves but the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the deck out back was increadable. We plan to stay again in the fall when the leaves are changing. The cabin provides almost everything you need but if you do...

The directions sent by the owners really saved us on finding the location. The accommodations were surprisingly spacious, with a well-outfitted kitchen. It seemed like the owners thought of just about everything, which made for such a relaxing weekend. One suggestion--as with most cabins, the soundproofing between walls and stories is basically nonexistent. Bring earplugs if you have multiple people...

My 2 kids and I have stayed in the Glendale Springs area every Thanksgiving for the past 10 years and this was the first time at Mountain View Lodge. From now on, we will not stay anywhere else and are planning on coming back in the Spring. We loved it. Beautiful cabin, GREAT jacuzzi tub, fireplace, etc. Overall great experience.

Had a great stay at the Mountain View Lodge...enjoyed hiking and horseback riding right off the parkway. Perfect location to just get out and take pictures, or take a leisurely walk. Only ~35 minutes from Boone (went to Scream Time Zip Lining...awesome time!!). Great local cuisine, including Mexican (Casa Garcia). Can hike right off the property or drive only 20...

Very new, very clean and very cozy cabin. Very nice: "modern rustic" feel. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, quiet and private. We decided on a Tuesday night to book for the following weekend, and we got our confirmation email the next morning. A very pleasant location, with it's own little grass-covered hill that's great for kids' playtime, as well...

“The two 2-bedroom cabins overlook the rest of the property from the front porches (nice for letting kids play outside), while the six 1-bedroom cabins have nice tall balcony decks from the bedroom overlooking the wooded mountainside.”

“Some of the rooms are very large and include futon sofas. This sort of sleeping arrangement works well for families, but not for unrelated groups.”
