We took our 5th Wheel there the Monday before Labor Day and had one of the sites next to the canal which was great for crabbing or fishing right by our rig. It is a great location as it is not far from the beach. We were gonna stay through Labor Day but Hurricane Hermine caused us to bug out...

We have stayed at this campground several times in the last 20 years. Never disappointed! Great staff, nice sites, and super quite. Husband loved fishing the canal. We have 4 wheel drive truck to drive on the beach, but this vacation is for rest and relaxation. No need to go anywhere outside of campground unless to shop or site seeing....

We stayed here for 5 nights in September. We have stayed here many times. Every year improvements have been made. My only complaint was the showers needed to be cleaned more often even though it is not real busy in the shoulder season. Last year the AC did not work in the bathrooms but not a problem this year.

Our fourth year in a row returning for summer fun. There were several negative reviews we saw on their website prior to making our reservation so instead of listening to the "rumor mill", I went straight to the "horses mouth" and called and spoke with Joe to find out exactly what was going on. Come to find out the A/C...

This is our second time we have been to this campground and we just enjoy it so much. The people that work here are so nice and they are still putting a lot of time and effort into the campground to give you a better experience while you stay here. The fishing and crabbing around the campground is great for...

Kristen, thank you for staying with us at Hatteras Sands Campground. We purchased the park 3 years ago after it had been neglected for many years. We loved the beauty of Hatteras Village and knew once restored the park would offer a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy Hatteras Island. We have worked diligently over the past few year to...

Personally I loved it here, it's quiet and relaxing. We stayed here this past weekend Aug. 4-7, 2016 in a 40ft. fifth wheel. Maneuvering around the campground itself could be a little tight when all sites are filled. However, we had no difficulties. All sites are paved (narrow, but paved!) with a picnic table and a lighted, all in one...

Very nice, quiet campground, that's adequately cared for, suitable for groups, families, and quiet getaways. We've stayed twice here this year, May, and July. Once with Adults, once with our Grandchildren. Both experiences very hospitable. The cabins, and Cottages are nicely setup, however, the cabins have rest rooms. The bathhouse is available with the Cottages, and is very clean and...

Stayed at this campground because it was the only campground with openings for our last minute vacation.Campsites are very very close together, no trees whatsoever . No campfires allowed so to me it's not camping. Camp store is very minimal and not open much. We did not have transportation other than our motor home and was told that the beach...
