This was our third time at Colonial Pines. Accommodations are excellent and the Owner's are very friendly. Breakfast has always been "top-notch" and they are very up-to-date on what's going on in the Highlands area. Inn is convenient to downtown but quiet. Our best-find recommendation! We have been visiting Highlands for over thirty years and this is the best overall...

We went to Colonial Pines for an early birthday/anniversary weekend. We try to always stay in B&B. First the Inn is beautiful. We chose the Harris Room. You open the windows and sleep in comfort I love the antique Asian Writing desk in our room. I promise no air conditioning needed. Private Bath, Great open living room/dining combination but, we...

I simply cannot recommend this wonderful B&B highly enough! From the lovely wrap around porch, to the cosy lounge and breakfast area to the charming guest rooms, all is perfection. And then to boot, we were thoroughly spoiled by our hosts, Chris and Donna, who could not have been more attentive to our every need. The breakfasts were so much...

This was our first trip to the Highlands and Colonial Pines was chosen for us as by a relative. We've stayed in a number of B&B's over the years but Colonial Pines truly fit our "vision" of what a B&B would be like. We stayed in Room 1; which is on the main floor (and I believe the only room...

This was our first time to Highlands and first time ever staying at a Bed and Breakfast. This stay has certainly set the bar very high! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left the experience was so wonderful! Donna and Chris made us feel right at home. My wife and I both decided we are hooked...

Six college friends get together annually, and this year's planner picked Highlands and the Colonial Pines Inn. She had stayed there before and recommended the hospitality and ambiance created by Donna and Chris. She could not have picked a more perfect place -- we had the entire Inn to ourselves. Each of us had our own bedroom and bath. Comfortable,...

Me and my wife came up for a short getaway and stayed here based on the reviews. I'm so glad we did! Hands down it is our favorite B&B and we have stayed at a bunch. We will definitely be planning a return trip! Donna & Chris are amazing! They are incredibly knowledgeable of the area and of things to...

We stayed at this Bed and Breakfast for a long week-end in Highlands. Donna and Chris were great hosts. They gave us good tips for hikes and other activities in town. Donna fixes a wonderful breakfast and homemade bake goods for guests to snack on during the day. Thank you Donna and Chris for making a trip really enjoyable.

What a delight to find this lovely B&B on our trip north of Atlanta! We had only one night to enjoy the warm and thoughtful hospitality that innkeepers, Donna and Chris, offered. From the moment we walked into the homey great room, complete with knotty pine and fireplace, we were offered the best of mountain hospitality. We received a hand...

My husband and I had a 3 night getaway to the Highlands area of NC a few weeks ago. My husband booked our stay at the Colonial Pines Inn. We stayed the first night in the Bargain Basement as that was all that was available at that time. It's a lovely single room with comfy king bed and adjoining bath...
