Chose the Inn based on the internet..the pictures were wonderful but could not do the property justice. The fine details placed into each room and the property itself were above expectations. Would have been nice to have a TV, but this place is not meant for entertainment, it's meant for pure relaxation and reconnecting with nature. Can't beat the mountain... More

The fire and water dining experience is what you would hope to discover on any excursion, domestic or abroad. It is a hidden treasure, that once discovered, is whispered to others for fear of losing the intimacy. No worry! Hiram and Matthew successfully attract the repeat guest without catering to those interested in the next new "hot spot"

My wife and I chose this Inn based on reviews we read about it and the surrounding area. The Inn exceeded my expectations. It was a combination of great service, excellent breakfast, immaculate grounds and rooms, and especially stunning views of the mountains and sunsets. Awesome! Private, secluded, great mountian views, great food, wonderful staff. Great get-a-way for a romantic few days or longer. Close to the Highlands offering shopping and good restuants as well. Great place for hiking!

This was our third rejuvenating visit to Fire Mountain Inn. This time we stayed in one of the cabins, having stayed at the inn previously. No TV, no phones, no worries. I can hardly find the correct words to describe the recent visit my husband and I had this past week @ Fire Mountain. Fire Mountain Inn was restful, immaculate and included beautiful mountain vistas. The weather was gorgeous and fall colors were near peak all three days of our visit. This was a wonderful 4 days of resting and renewal. Hiram and Mathew are gracious and helpful hosts who spent a good bit of time sharing insights, maps, information and helping us plan hikes, restaurants, and general exploring. Absolutely fantastic owners and the most serene setting we have experienced in the Western North Carolina mountains. Wonderful dining and hospitality and beautiful scenery. Highly recommended for couples looking for a relaxing getaway.
