Pet friendly (certain rooms) which is awesome, rooms were very clean. Pool was great too, office staff are very nice as well. Our room had awesome sunset view by the sound, and the private pier is great. We unfortunately weren't able to try the restaurant but we will be back to stay again!

First stay and it won't be our last! Yes, it is an older building and the rooms aren't 'state of the art', but we weren't there for the rooms but the beach! And the icing on the cake, is the pool!! The owners and staff are down to earth and super friendly and accommodating. Ate at the Breezeway Restaurant the first night and will also go back again! Service was great and the food was delicious. The beach is not far away; about a block and a half away. Ice cream place is close by as is a wonderful cafe with live music. We will be back!

We stay here for a couple nights every year, and it’s a great motel. Very clean and staff is always very helpful and friendly. Great views and low traffic around the hotel most of the time. Would 100% recommend if your looking to stay a couple nights in a quiet and very clean beach town.

Did not enjoy our stay, price too high, carpets old dirty, outdated rooms, small and cramped feeling. Bad smell, old place cigarette smell, did not try restaurant, far from town area, like a fishing motel with lots dogs and construction worker

Decent rooms, they smelled like the carpets had been soaked in saltwater and left out to mildew. The air in the rooms was moist. Bathrooms were very small and the showers had bad water pressure. The staff was great. Ellis is a pretty cool guy guy. The pier was really nice. The restaurant had bad food, and was very overpriced. Free Wi-Fi was good. Overall a nice place, but could be better.

Stayed at the Breezeway Motel during the Autumn Festival because it was within walking distance. It was not fancy but it was clean. We did not see any bugs. Within walking distance to the beach, about a block and a half. Would stay there again. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Most disgusing place I ever checked into and out of. We arrived and my 6 year old grandson kept telling me there were baby roaches in the microwave. I saw teeny tiny bugs but could not make them out and dismissed them. My hub and put our sutcase on the bed and grandson said, omg look at that bug dash across the bed. I looked and saw the cockroachs. About 1/2 inch long. We immediately went to the main office. The owner looked at us and said I can go spray. I told him no. That would not work. In the meantime my husband and grandson went back to get the luggage which was put in a corner. When he turned the light on he said there were 10 to 15 of them on the bed. As we were getting in the car the owner walked up the stairs with a sprayer in hand. All that will happen is the bugs will go to the adjoining rooms. They have checked in for the long haul!

For the price, on a Labor Day weekend, with easy beach access, and dog friendly, this hotel would be hard to beat. Located on the bayside (intercoastal waterway) it had a lovely pier where you can watch spectacular sunsets and several nearby restaurants to walk to and enjoy. I want to rate this hotel higher but because of the very old condition of the furnishings I can't. Most everything worked but it could really use a makeover. It is clean and functional with a flat screen TV and comfortable mattresses. There is plenty of parking, even for those folks with boats. The building is solid so the nights were quiet even with a lot of people on the balconies. I can say that the location and staff was great. Staff was super accommodating with an early check-in and allowed a late check-out for a small fee so that we could enjoy the beach for an extra day. We felt very welcomed and cared for -- we really enjoyed our stay with our two fur babies. I would go back for another stay.

The management goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The rooms are older, but they are clean. You can tell that some interior updates have been made, and the bed slept well. The boat ramp is a great convenience as well. If you like to hang out in your room, might not be the place for you, but if you just need a shower and a bed while you explore, it is great.

What a fabulous place to stay! We came for our first time August 2-5. Came for my BD....Never been here before, although we have been all over the water from east to west and to the Caribbean. What a quaint beach town and the lovely sound to ocean is fabulous.... we will certainly be back! And, the reason is that the Breezeway Motel is a great place to stay! Amazing views....Great people running the hotel and providing us with what is super about Topsail! Thank you Bill for how hard you work and all your family is just amazing! Tuck.....the buddy who takes everyone out for the boat trips...what a great guy he is! Make sure to check him out! Everything was great! Thank you so much!~ Loved meeting great people and enjoying family! Thank you Bill.....and your very good dude who is always there with a smile....I don't have his name but he is bald and watches over everyone! Thank you Breezeway Motel!
