The grounds are beautiful and if you're a golfer it's probably great. The unit was terribly cold and uncomfortable. It has three levels and lower bedroom and bathroom were almost impossible to heat. That was true for the second bedroom and bathroom too. The living space and kitchen were comfortable. The unit was decorated nicely with two balconies. Too many...

I stayed at Fox Run, for a week with two friends in March. The weather was beautiful, and the resort was fantastic. We stayed in a two bedroom condo, that was very nice. It was clean, well decorated, and very high up on the mountain. On our second night there we saw a large black bear, that was very cool....

First of all, let me hasten to say this resort does now have Wi-Fi. And it's pretty good Wi-Fi, better than our Comcast cable service back home. We had a 2-level villa 'up the hill' and in the trees. It's nice, about average for this type of resort property (Bluegreen owners will be very familiar). The downstairs bedroom is considerably...

If you want a short drive to many places, this is not the place. One must have a good map to find your way in and out of places around this area. Our unit was way back, not close to the lake or golf courses. It was quiet. The tri-level unit was cold, especially on the entrance level and especially...

The resort and lake are beautiful. We enjoyed the pizzeria as well. Indoor pool is nice but not spectacular and closes at 7:30. Other services at the wellness center are not available for children under 16 and we were traveling with two. The villa we stayed in was dated and not as well stocked as most that we have stayed...

Walking in, it's been updated (not bathrooms) but very clean. Everything we need was in this tri level townhouse. Though no snow it was still very beautiful! So quite. Lake actives were pretty much all closed. Travel to many little towns all around. Already on the 2nd day plan on coming back!!! Love it! #unit 56

We stayed a week from Nov 28 to Dec 6. Although we had the first 3 day super rainy we could enjoy the beauty of fall. The place is very quiet. There was a townhouse, they are in groups of two in each set. We were only 2 but the house could fit up to 6 people. Outside you have...

The townhouse was laid out in a split level, with lots of room to spare, The kitchen is well equipped, and the web connection works very well. There are few conveniences close by as this property is somewhat remote, and as you would expect the driving to anywhere is very slow and along curving roads. Biggest recommendation is to bring...

Originally expected a 40 year old resort which had not been updated, so the large, clean, split level unit, with somewhat dated furnishings, allowed a sigh of relief. Unit 307 on Red Fox Lane had a nice floor plan, although the master bedroom with a king bed, is down stairs (19 steps). It had a large, elevated and fenced patio...

Nice unit in an absolutely beautiful area. Waterfalls, Chimney Rock. Beautiful! However, do your homework on the net before arriving. Wont get any info from the front desk which is strictly 9 to 5. . They lock up and leave promptly at 5 pm.The visitors center in Lake Lure is volunteer operated, and we never found it open. Free internet...
