First, the pictures posted are very deceptively non-representative of the facility. My friend and I are not picky about amenities or decorator appointments, but we do expect a comfortable place to stay after riding the North Georgia, Tennessee and North Caroline roads. This, I regret was the lowest of the low. We should have cancelled upon seeing the condition of...

We checked in, and IMMEDIATELY checked out!!!! Clerk, though seemed somewhat friendly gave my wife and I the heebie jeebies. The appearance from the road says it all... Run down, broken and desperately needs demolition asap! We were totally exhausted after 600 mile ride on harley and stopped here by mistake. The room walls were completely adorned with full wall...

Stayed awake all night to kill bed bugs! It is 3 am as I write this and watching my granddaughter sleep as she was afraid the bugs would bite her so I told her to sleep and I'll keep watch. Killed so far: 30 bed bugs, 6 micro bugs (they crawl around microwave) and seems like a zillion red spider...

I used to use this hotel for some of our employees who travel. The employees complained that there was no heat in their rooms last time, and that the man at the front desk appeared to be intoxicated. They also had food missing out of their fridge in the rooms more than once. When I called to give them one...

We stayed at this hotel based on the reviews we read at this site. I would never have chosen it by it's curb appeal - the sign is half gone and it looks like a no-tell motel from the road. The rates are great, but you get what you pay for. The room was large, and had a microwave and...

Stayed here last night. Have to admit, this place doesn't look like much. Wouldn't have necessarily chosen it out of a lineup. No one else was here when we arrived (and, in fact, we were the only guests the whole night). It definitely doesn't have curb appeal, but it did have what we were looking for: inexpensive, clean, and safe....

I read with interest the reviews from some of the guests who have stayed at Mtn Vista Inn and am confused. They must have had some sort of "ax to grind". Our stay was fantastic! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very congenial and helpful. Granted our room did not have Chipendale Furniture ... nor Rembrandt paintings...

This hotel was built in 1982 and it appears that not one thing has changed since it was built. The water took 10 minutes to get somewhat hot. Not a blade of grass for our dog ($10 per night charge for the dog). The lock on the door was a twist button knob as in a house (not very secure)....

My girlfriend and I are actually moving to the Murphy, NC area and are spending more than a night or two in this motel as we look for a place to stay. We have some special needs as well. The staff here has been very understanding of our special needs which has been a big plus for us. The motel...
