The was my first visit to Ocracoke Island and Edwards was a great value and close to the harbor. The bungalow room comes with one single and one double bed and is very clean and tastefully decorated to fit the island theme. Guests over 6 feet tall will find the sleeping a little uncomfortable because your feet will hang over...

This is not a hotel or even motel. It is a collection of aging cabins. Facilities are minimal. Everything was clean enough, but there were burrs on carpet that I found by walking barefoot. Bathroom minimal - shower and wash basin. Walls are thin and we could hear the people in next unit. Off season cost was $70.00. Not cheap...

Our facility consists of 11 Motel Units in two different buildings as well as private cottages and cottage type complex units. While we are an older facility, we do our best to offer clean, comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price relative to the market we operate in. We are a Family Owned and Operated Business therefore keeping prolonged business hours...

WE stayed in a bungalow room. They boasted a 100% rate on cleanliness , but I found a tangle of hair in between the sheets. The amenities were minimal. No tissues, barely enough shampoo for one person, a bar of soap, old wind up clock, very small TV, no phone, no coffee, no anything extra, no even a closet. The...

It is always concerning to not meet customer's expectations. We at Edwards strive to offer clean, comfortable accommodations at an affordable price. Our "classic" fifties vintage décor is something we put in place when we purchased the business. We do our best to maintain the "Old Ocracoke Charm" of our facility while making sure our accommodations fit the needs of...

Went to Ocracoke the week of Sept. 19th to celebrate my husband's birthday which happens to be on "International Speak Like a Pirate Day!" and had the most wonderful time! I found Edwards of Ocracoke (Edward Teach, being Black Beard!) on line and were impressed with the location, prices and the accommodations and were not disappointed! When we arrived to...

This is an older establishment, but very clean. The owners were very nice. We'd like to visit again in warmer weather. They had a cute little enclosed porch. Location was right in town but off of the main road, and was very quiet.

Truly impressive accommodations. We stayed in one of the Bungalows (#12, an end room) and were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. OBX (and Ocracoke in particular) is a wonderful place to relax and spend quiet days and nights to "get away from it all". We have stayed at many other places, but we have now found our...

Once again we had a wonderful week at Edwards.. The cottage was everything we needed to enjoy our stay on the island.. Clean and close to everthi. Our 4yr old is already counting down the days until he can return to his little beach house.. Our only wish would be a little softer beds..

We have stayed elsewhere in Ocracoke in the past. This was the 1st time at Edwards and absolutely loved it. Stayed in a bungalow room on the end, #12. No fridge or microwave in our room but we came prepared. Able to buy ice for our cooler at the front office and they provided us with a coffee pot and...

We had spent a couple nights camping but had to catch a 7:00 AM ferry so we decided to get a hotel. Edwards was the choice and we were very happy with the choice! We got a cottage which had a queen bed in one room, two singles in another and a couch which could be turned into another sleeper....

After the 2 1/4 hr. ferry ride from Cedar Island, this was a nice place to relax. We had a courtyard room (#7) on the end with 2 beds, a fridge, nice walk in shower. It had rained quite a bit, so the roads were flooded. Walking about was not possible, but there are plenty of places to eat within...
