We had a great time during our Outer Backs tour last summer! Started in New Bern: then to Ocracoke, Hatteras, all the way to Corolla. Bleackbeard's Lodge was a great starting point on the "islands". Quaint hotel & room, perfect layout for our shared family suite (2 bedrooms, muliplte beds, bath in the middle. Coffee in the mornings, game room...

I loved the entrance and lobby of this hotel as it felt like one was stepping back in time. The rooms were a bit more spartan than I expected. If you stay in one of the first floor rooms on the east side of the lodge, expect the side entrance door to slam shut multiple times. There's a sign on...

My wife and I stayed there on night in room 32. On the plus side- the staff were very pleasant and the main lodge is old school cool. The room had a mini frig and some bath toiletries. It was also pretty cheap at $79 plus tax. On the negative side- the shade in the room was thin and all...

Wonderful place!! Very comfortable beds, clean and relaxed, homey feel. The lodge is close enough to area restaurants to be able to walk to them. Ladies do suggest that if you need a hairdryer make sure to bring your own.

I have been to this hotel many times in the past 40 yrs., primarily in the apts. I love the funkiness of it, but not everyone will. It's always clean, the staff is pleasant and the location is great. If you have more than 2 people in an apt., there will be a degree of awkwardness--either someone will be sleeping...

We had a great stay at this hotel. My husband and I came up here after he spent a month out at Army training. We always travel with our pet, and so this hotel was very accommodating. They also offer golf cart rentals which is a must when driving around the village. I felt the rate for rental was a...

I booked a room at the Lodge for one night as a stopover on my way back to Canada. The room was clean and I slept well. However, I arrived rather late and most restaurants on Ocracoke had closed already. The only criticism I have is that the hallway carpet could use a good deep cleaning. Other than that, I...

I have stayed in 100s of lodges .this was the worse.Never complained in review before.1)Dirty. hair on sheets.grease in kitchenette.Very poorly maintained.2)wood on decks rotten.infrastructure dilapidated. No upkeep.3)aggressive rude owners(probably due to defending non-stop displeasure from guest.warning.Do not ruin your trip to overcome .stay elsewhere.

We called Thursday night for a last-minute overnight trip to the island for this past Saturday. We requested the Wahab Suite but there is a two-night minimum so we booked a king on the second floor. Upon arrival at the airport, we called the lodge for a shuttle to the hotel. Helena, one of the owners, picked us up in...

The room was super clean and cute, the staff was very nice, the decor in the lobby was very cool! It was a pirate theme hotel. It was super reasonable price. The room was very quiet. We will defiantly stay here again!
